Default I seem to have broke my zoom

Okay as of today I have somehow broken camera zoom. I have always been able to scroll my mouse wheel up or down for zooming the camera. I went into key bindings to see if maybe it unbound. It is set to number pad 9 and 7. There is no way to rebind the mouse wheel that I see. A message pops up saying mouse wheel can only be bound to interactions.

What the heck did I do?

the mouse scroll zoom function breaking happens occasionally with ddo - not sure why (or what specifically causes it), but usually either relogging or quitting the ddo client and restarting fixes it.

As you noticed from keybinds, when the scroll zoom does not work, you can use the numeric keypad 7 and 9 in the meantime as a temporary substitute.

I am not sure if you have customized your keybinds in ddo, but if your scroll zoom is not working even after a relog/quit, then go into your keybind settings and click on the DEFAULT button under KEY MAPPING, and see if that restores it.

That happens to me as well. Log out, log back in, and it should work.

That is assuming the mouse wheel itself didn't break, right?

This happened to me yesterday. Don't recall it happening before. Wonder if it's just a coincidence...

it seems that old bug, sometimes your wheel get stuck into a bag, try not to use the wheel to scroll up and down the content of bags.

I believe this is exactly what happened as I was scrolling bags looking for worker drone actuators

LOL this is hella weird. I was also having a worker drone actuators moment specifically yesterday, same day I had the wheel issue.

if you don't want to log in and out, scroll lock adjusts zoom as well. This has happened to me too and the more I log in and out the worse lag gets for me, so I wanted to find a way in game.

LOL the sad thing is I have hundreds of everything else and less than 25 of the actuators. But these are supposedly the exact same chance to drop

Pardon the ignorance, but, what the heck is scroll lock?

It’s a button above the number pad. I guess not all keyboards have the number pad but I think many have a scroll lock access either through the function or shift buttons etc.

Nope don't have scroll lock though I do have a num pad. I don't think I have ever had a keyboard with a scroll lock. Hmmm, I have above the numbers a paste button, /, *, - and then print sc and mute and vol up and down. Looking through all the functions I don't seem to have that and can seriously never remember ever having on even on gaming keyboards. I'll have to keep an eye out for that.

Interestingly after zooming around the internet I don't have a num lock either lol

I have gone through all iterations of using scroll lock on a keyboard without it ( ie, all functions that could have it ) and the only way for me to get it would be to use an on screen keyboard which would not work well with DDO. But thank you for the tip!
