i've never encountered an actual math puzzle in this game, rather logic puzzles.
then again those 2 go hand in hand

They're good enough at maths to realise that there's more than 1 field of mathematic.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

In the American dialect of English, "math" is an uncountable noun. In many other dialects, "maths" is not. It's a cultural difference, neither correct nor incorrect.
