Is fiery obliteration (Lvl12 enhanc.) bugged from alchemist?

Hi Guys,

I understand that this one was nerved somehow, but now it feels like underwhelming in every case, most spells make more damage at this level- please, a sla you get at lvl 12 which has max.caster level 10? What sense make this? A palemaster has also mcl20 with his lvl12 enhancement area attack?

It seems the same as Fireball - which is T5 in Fire Savant. It can be fully meta'ed for 6SP.
Is it as good on paper as Necrotic Blast in the PM tree? - no. Is that balanced? I don't know
but it should not be the only thing to consider. Alchemist also gets Burning Ambition, for instance,
and reaction spikes.

I think its not the same, because fireball is a 3L spell with 10d6 max damage and different classes have the possibility to increase the max lvl with that.
Fiery obliteration is a new ability you only get as lvl 12 alchemist- it should be mcl12 minimum, imo and alchemist should be able to increase the max lvl with that, like other classes with fireball.
