A strong community and friends are very powerful at keeping people invested into the game. For me at least they are. If all of my guildmates or friends would quit tomorrow then I would certainly quit as well. So it's very important for a game, especially a mmorpg, to develop a strong community. Such little population being sparse across so many servers is very detrimental to the development of a compelling community. Those who enjoy playing solo will stay, but I think most enjoy interacting with other humans otherwise they would not be on a mmo in the first place. Merging servers is not easy, but it should be a priority over releasing new content. Help people find a nice group of friends to run raids or harder content with and they will stick to the game for sure.

True whenever scheduled permits I static group with 2 or 3 more but we always form lfm and end running with the same players joining often

I have friends from years ago I still run with from the very first guild I had joined even though I had left for a more raid oriented guild back whenever

There are players who I run with in TR often because they are doing the cycle and use the Lfm

Merge or cross server would go a long time at to making the population problems less

I agree If I had to solo I would indeed leave too that’s not why I’m in an mmo while I might rarely do some soloing its probably more for testing different changes to my build or if something is working or not like

The Tech needs to be implemented to allow cross server grouping. The server should not matter - a virtual space using the population of all the servers could be used for LFMs and the instances of quests would just warp the players to it then back to their home servers.

WoW does this and it works great - therefore you do not need to worry about moving your guild or your main, or changing anything - just the LFM system and quest instances are hosted on a universal server.
