Nebula Fragment, Over 4000 chests looted and countering! FOUR THOUSAND

I have 9 toons I have been keeping on ransack for weeks now trying to get this thing. Thousands of shards in rerolls and OVER 4000 chests looted with no Nebula Fragment.

This is a STUPID way to run an event, I can't even start to play it without this item so basically I am locked out of the event for weeks now due to pure chance and NO OTHER WAY TO GET IT!

Charge me 100 Star Fragment for it and I will pay as I have those coming out of my ears, Hay? Sure, charge me 10,000 hays, I have those, How about saga turn ins? I have completed those several times on several characters.

Anything EXCEPT random F****** chance!

Weeks now and no response from devs at all.

Screw this, I put in the time and if you guys can't even respond then I am out. I am not going to play a game that refuses to allow me access to content no matter how much effort I put in.

Thank you for carrying the torch farther than I did. The only possible consolation is maybe none of the perfected artifacts would work out for your gear. I still find it ironic that in the same update that finally removed the universally hated RNG involved in getting an EROSS, they literally added 11 more of them via the Nebula Fragment.

I honestly don't care that much about the end reward, I am just ****ed that I can't play at all, I can't even start the freaking game no matter how much effort I put into it.

Lynnabel come out with this GREAT idea that we have been starved for and then BLOWS it by only allowing .01% of the server even play in it (don't give me that BS about how I could have searched without the fragment because without the frame there would be no confirmation that the alters found were even part of the hunt, or if there was more to do after the alters)

There will be. The devs mentioned when they add in the legendary sands gear, some of those will also be perfectable. Cross your fingers you don't want any.

I feel for you OG poster but I don't understand - this nebula fragment is eventually converted into a lvl 30 piece of perfected gear - but looking at that perfected gear I am extremely underwhelmed - think about all the time you invested for an item that will not really make your build or you better - I understand the goal sometimes is just to climb the mountain because its there - but this saltmarsh loot/hay/upgrade system is awful. And that lvl 30 piece of perfect junk will be outmoded as soon as they level increase us to 35 or 40 or whatever and there's new junk gear to get - its the MMO hamster wheel, that you upgrade and farm and burn your precious time and then they change the game and you have to do it all again because what was good is now ****.

The most frustrating part of this particular nebula item too is that you cannot start this quest without the nebula fragment - as opposed to the Feywild where you just need to find the feytwisted chests which though rare, pop up now and again.

But even if you found one today these perfected artifacts are no where near good enough to warrant any extra effort -

Still - I feel for you 4000 chests is a lot of farming. Lame that you did not find one.

Drop rate is ridiculous, literally no sense! At the moment im agree with you, all perfect items are bad.

I'd gladly trade my Nebula Fragment for a Jibbers any day. A far more useful item than a 4 piece artifact that doesn't fit into my gear set.

The Nebula fragment for me will become useful when Charune, Grand Burden of Fury becomes perfectible.

the neb frag shouldn't be made from threads of fate. it should be made from star fragments. you don't grind raids to get the neb. you grind Salt. Salt gives star, which should be the material that makes nebula.

4k chests is bad. I already knew this thing was a bad idea though. Sorry for your frustration OP. It should be SSG apologizing though. If I can't see progress, I just won't engage. If I get neb eventually then ok. I'm not actively seeking it because I cannot see progress toward it. To me, it's a total waste of time, obviously moreso than playing a video game in general.

It seems to me, that when feytwisted chest started popping up they were fairly rare, now seems like one or two are being posted with r10 loot chance a day, so not rare at all...I dunno, maybe they get data in on max farming (like this posting), then refactor the drop rate...seems reasonable.

Just "random" isn't inherently the problem. It's the insanely low drop rate. That's always been one of the main frustrations, miniscule drop rates for things. Just when you think they might be learning a lesson (Can't pull that Shard you need? Here, trade in new generic BtA ingredients to upgrade to Epic instead!) they go and introduce yet another stupidly low drop rate. They keep making the same mistakes over again.

Time to repeat for the benefit of SSG: If you want something harder to get don't drop the droprate, increase the turn-in requirements. Nebula would have been just as hard to capitalize on if you had made the drop rate 10x what it is but required 10 of them for the turn in. But people would have felt progress being at 4 (of 10) nebulas vs 0 of 1 like you have now. They could have joined in on the shrine hunt before it was all documented. They could have been, less irritated by soemthing which should have made them happy.

OP, don't farm for it. I tried to get Jibbers for my characters and my characters have to have other characters in the party to pass them that. I have over 9 characters and so far my characters have looted 0 from the TTT end chest. The 2 my characters received were passed. I do not even remember how many times that quest was ran. And I do not want to even mention the Shard of the Ring of Spell Storing. Definitely not below several thousand times.

I have Jibbers on several toons and those didn't take 4000 chests to find. Hundreds of chest per but not over 4000 without getting one.
