When it makes no sense Vol1: 36 Quests are level 3 vs 14 Quests are level 13

Since SSG has taken over there are a number of things that make no sense and everyday it seems to get worse. I am considering doing a series of Posts here to address them.

For this one the title is self explanatory. This is also about content imbalances at certain levels. Why do they flood us with quests at certain level? Those numbers in the title are totals for FTP and PTP combined.

There are 9 quests that are free at 3 and only 2 quests that are level 13 that are free. Looking at some of the epics it even more strange. Level 25 for example had 7 quests? Level 28 has 3 quest. With the epic revamp coming, they could have addressed this with the last expansion.

Some new and improved epic level 26 gear would make etrs alot less tedious

A long time ago we asked could we get some quests that are Epic and Legendary instead of Heroic and Epic or Heroic and Legendary and they said no that wasn't possible. It seems to me had they planned ahead, they would have made an effort to make it possible because going to 40 this problem is only going to get worse as heroics swell past abundance and epic becomes anemic with so little to do.

But you are correct, I have no clue why so many adventures must be clustered in the levels that we spend the least time in. I do appreciate however having an alternative to the Sewers-of-Stormreach content.

Just so I am clear, the complaint is about the distribution of quests that are available to play free of charge?

I don't really see the problem with this... the team of SSG had their eyes on bringing the classic Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh pack to DDO. Why force it to for instance a level 13 pack?? No, just stay true to the original content. It's a beginners adventure pack with classic dungeon crawl dungeons. The way the dungeons are designed and themed is for beginners to dnd. It's good they stayed true to the nature of the pack.

I don't see why you could not. Village of Homlet was level 1 and part of Temple of Elemental Evil. A1 to A4 Against the Slave Lords was Level 4 to 7. The Original Ravenloft Module was level 5 to 7. Those were changed for DDO, so that has been done before.

They adjusted those. At the Very Least Saltmarsh could have start with a level 3 quest and scaled up like Sorrowusk or Tangleroot.
