    Default DDO won't update

The game downloads and then goes to the update portion. It seems to get to 88% of dat files updated and then progress display on the files downloaded seems to hang after 1 to 6 files are downloaded, sometimes showing 100% progress.

When I used the standalone client, it would show something like 9,403 files to be downloaded. It was clearly savings the files in the forward folder. It seemed to be downloading multiple files at the same time. Even after the display stopped showing progress on the 88% or on the individual files, the launcher still was using bandwidth and more files were being saved in the 'forward' folder.

Next, I installed the game using steam, and it seems to be doing the exact same thing, except instead of 9400 some files showing needing downloading, it was over 30,000. Again, I let it keep downloading until it stopped. It stopped at 4015 files and then hung. I closed it and restarted it. It continues to dl information, but the number of files doesn't seem to increase.

At this point, I'm not sure what more I can do.

    Please, help.

    Thanks

i am having the same trouble, i used to just restart my phone till my download was 10 MB/s and it would update then, but since my phones recent update i stopped being able to do that so i think it is likely an ISP range problem

I had this happen last time I reinstalled and had to manually delete everything and restart the install. Was very frustrating, but it did then complete the installation.
