Instead of scrapping Twists and restricting to three trees, which is TOO RESTRICTIVE (I use 6 including twists), why not do the same thing for twists as you do for destiny points in the preview? Up to 4 “Twists of Completion” that replace or are in addition to the static 4 full points you get for all 48 lives? The key — these twists do not take up points. You are just able to “twist in” any 1st through 4th tier ability from ANY tree (no stacking the same twist 4x). You could even progress them. 1st point — tier 1. Second point tier 1 or 2, and so on.
This keeps the twists that people want, makes it worth doing all 48 epic lives per toon, and keeps builds really viable, all while providing for even more build diversity — and keeping players happy with what they already have. Further, as legendary lives become a thing, you could expand to another twist slot for legendary completionist. I imagine that would be a thing?
Twists are a huge loss and a huge part of the fun. Please consider.
