If we're gonna guess outer space based teasers, I'd guess Expedition to the Barrier Peaks before Spelljammer. And Expedition to the Barrier Peaks would be a silly fun quest pack to have.

I'd 1000% rather have a full-on Spelljammer expansion, but getting dual laser pistols for my Inqui in Expedition would be fun too

Gotta figure out what that all does now.

Keeps us buying the next 7 mini-expansions, I'd wager...

IIRC, there are 8 previous classic Epic adventure packs. A shard could be rare loot in each?

Does a "Shard of the Red Dragon" (the one from Epic VoN used to craft Red Dragonscale armour) fit in one of the slots?

I'll bet star fragments are rare drops from the epic versions of quests that had loot updated in this update.

Just checked my bags after doing all of the Saltmarsh on Legendary and found these 2 star fragments.

Just pay 20$ for the quests. They are worth it. Won't be on Black Friday sale this year for sure. And in a 50% sale the difference is only 10 bucks... not really worth waiting for over a year. And you can upgrade to a higher tier pack (new store feature) once it gets on sale or something.

Those star fragments are the ones used to upgrade L20 items to L30 items. I doubt they will be part of this new collectible widget. '

I see 3 possibilities:
1) There's a special drop in each S/S/S pack, kind of like the dragon gems used to unlock the Stealer of Souls quest.
2) Saltmarsh has a pool of rare drops coming from different sources, like the Shield frame in Necro 4.
3) Lynnabel is playing the really long game and one of these items will be added to each upcoming expansion/mini-expansion and it will take 7 more years to complete.

My money is on #1.

Lynnabel was asked and confirmed that it can be completed at current time and that it's not dependent on any future update to do.

It's not about the $20, I have that to spare easy, it's about not wanting to give spend $$ on something I think it's a ripoff. It'd be like if gas was $0.20 more expensive but it came with a car wash. Maybe some people would like it, but it's better to have the choice.

Anywhoo, I still vip it's not like I'm throwing my boot at SSG, though we'll have to wait and see what u51 is like...

This. All explorers ransacked across 3 toons. Full saga on reaper. Ransacked chests on reaper difficulties. All with re-rolls.

Absolutely abysmal drop rate.

Also- good luck to everyone engaged here. Here's hoping for some dev credit this time around for whoever figures out the mystery first!

You get cool quests for 20$ that give you many hours of gameplay. The Epic Destiny Access and MM8 are just bonus items for people who don't have that yet or can't access VIP every month.

But you don't need it because you already have your car washed from the yearly car wash subscription you own there. It hurts nobody... Everyone wins.
