Legacy Altar of Rituals not working?

As title says. I put my old epic items and nothing happens at this new altar, next to the two upper ones at Lahar. Is it working for you all?

Nope not for me either.

Are we supposed to put some ingredient in with the old epic items? There is space for it in the UI but no mention of anything in the release notes.

The Legacy Altar also has no mapnote, I spent 5 minutes searching the tower for it because I did not immediately see it with the other alters and if someone hadn't jumped down to it right in front of me I don't know how long it would have taken for me to notice it.

Another thing I observed, if you put ONE scroll into the barter, you get your ingredients and then... VOILÁ, barter is blocked. So you have to close window and start dialogue AGAIN. I have to repeat this 999999999999999999999999999999999 times So, I'm gonna make some fresh coffee to spend the night.

It did nothing for me, gave a failure error.

edit: apparently have to use Syberis dragonshard fragments in it along with the old item.

Another player explained to me you need 50 siberys dragonshsards with your old epic item.

He also said a couple of his items still did not upgrade like the Epic Flameward and i think he said Flamekeep Docent.

WARNING PSA! If you have any old epic items with the Exclusive tag such as Epic Helm of Frost or Epic Diabolist Robe, trying to upgrade them gives you an Essence of token that goes in your greenbag. It has instructions to use it at the Altar of Epic Rituals but trying to do so gives the message "Essence of item" isn't accepted at this trader. So now I have these tokens but no way to get back my epic items. *smh* So ticked off right now.

These recipes also require 50 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments to work (this process is referred to as the "Cleansing Ritual" on the wiki if you'd like more information). I can get that added to the release notes asap, apologies for the lack of inclusion.

Yep! I wanted to be sure that the Legendary versions of the Sands loot had enough time to get polished to perfection, which means they were intentionally not included in this release. They should be in a future patch, eventually!

Wow, nice catch. It looks like the Epic Cleansing Ritual recipes for a few of the Web of Chaos items were originally set up to do an effects-swap that replaced specific effects with other ones. This is different than the other Cleansing Rituals that just delete the item and return a copy. This will be corrected in an upcoming patch.

Is there any way to update existing Heroic versions of items (such as the L5 Chronoscope items) to the updated Heroic version? For example, turn the Strength +2 Charged Gauntlets into the new Strength +4 Charged Gauntlets?

Same with Epic Golden Guile: same item after Epic Cleansing Ritual (even after 2 times)

Tried a few, those that worked erase the item and replace with new item in the next available slot. One that didn't work, says it succeeded, but no changes happened except consuming 50 siberys dragonshards.

That's what I want to know as well. I just tried 50 shards and stone of change or legacy altar but no luck

Ya me too. Some stuff are hard to reacquired like von raid gear. If we can upgrade the old heroic version to the new heroic version that would be huge help or else we have to reacquired it again.
