Another Pally Gearing Thread

Howdy DDO Folks,

I've taken my Pally to 30, ran around and collected some gear following some of the Pally threads and I wanted some input on improving what I have.
I have no raid gear. I don't raid much for various reasons.
I have many of the artifacts for various slots.

My Build:

Belt - Belt of the Ram

Gloves - Hammerfist
Goggles - Precision
Helmet - Titanias Glory
Necklace - Family Recruit Sigil
Ring1 - Nocturn Ring
Ring2 - Rockslide
Trinket - Battleworn Medal
Weapon - Echo of Blackrazor (no upgrades) - Morninglord w/ 6 open slots - Ferrocrystal w/ 6 open slots

I thougth of goggles, Collective sight and put Dex on them. I have no Dex items. However, my Precision Lenses gives me insightful Str +9.
Maybe a ring ... Replace Rockslide?

I'm a solo player for the most part and have one person who I run things with from time to time.
I solo EH with no problems. I can't solo EE very well and don't really bother with it because the drops don't improve all that much with the effort I have to put in to stay alive.
I'd like to solo some raid content but haven't tried it yet.

Here's my current take on a pure STR based Paladin gearset (w/ no raid gear):
{With the caveat that U50 is coming soon and gearing will likely change a fair bit}

Goggles: Leg. Collective Sight (CON, Insightful STR)
Helm: Titania's Glory
Neck: Leg. Family Recruit Sigil
Trinket: Leg. Bone Figurine
Cloak: Leg. Cloak of Winter
Belt: Leg. Direbear Belt
Ring1: Leg. Celestial Sapphire Ring (crafted DEX)
Gloves: Leg. Hammerfist
Boots. Leg. Deepsnow Boots
Ring2: Leg. Nocturne Ring (can swap to Ring of Winter's Chill to keep HP bonus but drop the +threat generation)
Bracers: Brand of Kalok Shash
Armor: Leg. Enforcer's Plate

Augments: Swiftness, CHA + Insightful CHA, Globe, Deathblock, Good luck +2, Trip/Sunder, Dodge, Sheltering, Resistance

3 piece Part of the Family
4 piece Winter

As far as weapon choice, Leg. Echo of Blackrazor is currently the highest damage (just because of keen adding +2W) but that is also changing with U50.
I saw one forum poster indicate that the new update is dropping tomorrow, maybe wait a day before deciding on weapon.

In my next life I will be doing STR longsword paladin, and I'll start by trying a 7 summer/4 winter set gear:

winter rune lodestone
winter cloak
winter boots

winter/summer gloves

summer titania's
summer changestone (just for the set)
summer ram's belt
summer lionheart ring
summer bracers
summer medium/heavy armor

goggles of the sleepwalker
ring of prowess

fellblade

slot: str/ins str, ins cha, litany, sheltering

CHECKLIST: stats, titania/ring of prowess, ram's; deception, enh/ins/qual seeker, deception, enh/ins piercing, enh/ins doublestrike; enh/qual sheltering, bunch of hp

MISSING: ins/qual deception, ins sheltering, qual acc/deadly, dodge

The doublestrike/piercing on this gear comes from the weapon. You could use Cloak of Summer and a winter armor instead, slot false life, but it still relies on a weapon with piercing, such as the Dryad DAxe. Swap cloaks for THTH.

What combat style do you run with your fellblade? Is fellbade viable over just a straight up GreateSword? I have a fellblade on my main and I'm probably re-rolling into a pally life to play at cap for a bit. Be nice to use it now that the stats are viable once more.

I haven't tested it, but Fellblade's 14-18 x4, 19-20 x6 threat range should easily out-DPS greatsword's 16-18 x3, 19-20 x5. It also beats other raid longswords - see shorturl.at/awBZ9 for some maths, check the comments as well.
