Default Level 15 gear (str based)?

I know - there isnt a real need to optimize level 15 gear - except for the fun of it.
Here is my take on a melee set for a THF Str based character. Comment are most welcome.

    Code:
    Weapon	SoS
    Quiver	Q of Alacrity

Armor Enforcer's Coat (Fort, P Shelter, Hamp, False Life)
Neck	Recruit Sigil (TS, AP, Deadly, Relentless Fury)
Gloves Hammerfist (Ins DS, CCI, Seeker, Ins Deadly)

Helm Crown of Butterflies	(10 MP, 15 Hamp)

Googles Collective Sight	(Wis,	Ins Wis, Q Resist)
Trinket Cursebane Focus	(Spell Saves, M Shelter, Ins Will Save, Curse Resist)

Bracer Mysterious (30 Hamp, Ins M Shelter)
Cloak Cloak of the City's Champion (Parry, Ins Con, Q P Shelter)
Belt Cannith Crafted	(DS, Str, ins Str)

Ring Celestial Ruby Ring (Dex, Stunning, Accuracy, Ghostly)
Ring Celestial Sapphire Ring (Con, Dodge, Prof Well, Impr Decept)
Boots Flightfoot Greaves (FoM	Reflex, Speed, Nat Armor)
The Mysterious bracers and the Cannith Crafted belt has the downside that these items cannot get +mythic or +reaper bonusses. For the bracer I think the extra heal amp is worth the cost. For the belt I am less certain if the doublestrike is worth it (the str can be made elsewhere).

As far as wondering if the doublestrike on belt is worth it, I would say absolutely.
It's one of the best return-on-investment stats for dps.

    My recommendations would be:

    Boots (if FoM isn't needed):
Cannith Crafted - Combat Mastery ~ Parrying/Sheltering ~ Insightful Seeker

    Trinket:
Pale Green Ioun Stone (just for more HPs)

    Cloak/Goggles:
    Greensteel (again stacking HPs)

    Thank you for the input.

When I die its often to casters so I value the +5 Spell Saves on the trinket quite a bit - and dislike having to make do with resistance on an augment.
GS for +hp is a good idea though. I will have to consider the potential pros and cons - including the potential lack of +mythic and +reaper melee power.

Default My leveling gearset for lvl 15-20

    Hi there,

this is my leveling gearset for my melee arti. It is optimalised for Int, but it can be convert easily to STR based. Maybe will give U some ideas.

The Wrists, the Goggles and Ring 1 can be changed for your needs. Need to have Blurry from Feydark or Racial tree!!!
Augments can be also switched to your needs if U dont need trapping skills.

I remade my levelling gear sets some months ago. Probably not 100% best-in-slot, but what I like about it is the flexibility - it can fairly easily be used for many types of melee builds.

I use the sharn set as base, like you (armor, neck, gloves), and the crown, of course.

    Otherwise, I use:
    Goggles: Tharne's. Because, old school.
    Bracers: Mysterious.
    Cloak: Greensteel smoke
    Ring: Ring of the stalker

    And then I crafted CC:
    Belt: Doublestrike, STR, ins STR
boots: combat mastery, ins seeker, parry
    ring: devotion, con, ins con
trinket: wis, ins wis, melee alac

Augments: Fear immunity, accuracy, dex, good luck, blindness immunity, deathblock, master's, vitality, defense, resistance, protection.

I can use this for all kinds of melee TR runs, since I can just change the trinket depending on what stat I use, either for base or for trance.

I do not normally bother with FoM on item. Either I have a FoM caster in group, or I use the permanent flask. On the other hand, I detest having to keep up haste, so I go with melee alacrity crafted.

As I said, not BiS, but then again, don't need that for zerging r4 while levelling. And the flexibility is really a nice thing for me, so I can go for whatever stat I use for this life without redoing the entire setup.
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.
