Add some overland quest.
Play some Dungeons and Dragons pen and paper style.
Especially the S1 through S4 series.
Once you get that feeling add it to the game trying to be true to that feeling.
For overland do the Greyhawk campaign.
Just my 2 cents.

It undoes everything my character has done, and I have to start all over at level one with zero past lives and zero tomes.

Good luck!I find it funny that I've been playing game since it started and I get fools playing the game 10 years or less who think they know it all, when all they do is play very narrow recommended builds from streamers or their elite hero's.
