Incomplete combat dialogue feedback - spells cast at level X

Apparently DDO combat dialogue window is supposed to give feedback on what level a spell is being cast at. The yt video I saw showed someone casting in a public area, and it would say "you begin to cast Freezing Bolt at level 21", "you begin to cast Shocking Grasp at level 19" that sort of thing (they were testing Arcane Augmentation items).

When I tried to do this on my toon, my combat window didn't give any sort of feedback at all. I would get feedback when I would cast a buff spell like Shield or Greater Heroism, but no combat spell feedback.

I turned on every dialogue option (Combat, Tell, Error etc), no spell level feedback.

I tried casting in a public area, and in a wilderness area, no spell level feedback.

I tried creating a brand new toon on my account, no feedback.

I checked ESC ==> Options ==> UI Options for the "suppress caster level combat info", that was unchecked. Just to make sure I checked it and tried. I also tried checking and unchecking. No feedback.

I checked my other dialogue tabs, like Guild, Party, General. No feedback.

My account is 10 years old, I'm not sure how long this info has been missing.

Any idea how I can get this information back?

I probably haven't set my combat incomings to exactly that, but I know for certain that I had it set up to have all that and more as incoming chat. No feedback.

But when I get home tonight I'll try setting my combat tab up to exactly that arrangement and see what the effect is, on the off chance it's a really odd bug.

You will only see your caster level in the combat log if your caster level is different from your class level.

That was exactly it. I put on my Duality and it would report caster level. I didn't even need to have the spell prepared.
