Default DDO on a 4k display monitor

I transferred my game to a new computer with a 4K monitor. By adjusting the graphics settings in game, I got the text and icon size to something reasonable. However, the Launcher screen is still very tiny and hard to work with. Is there a way to zoom the Launcher screen?

Ive never seen any options to resize the launcher,

    i too run on a 4k monitor.
Usually, when i need to work with the launcher (character transfert from HCL) i lower my resolution to 1280x720 so the menus scale better.

pretty sure they will change the launcher once they update LOTRO.

I have a friend of mine who rarely plays DDO anymore because he can't seem to figure out the 4K monitor problem. He's pretty savvy with computers, but has not reached the "reasonable" icon size you mentioned. Would you mind explaining exactly how you arrived at what you did? Maybe show a screenshot of your screen in-game? I would appreciate guidance in this matter so I can hopefully bring my friend back to DDO. Thanks.

If your friend has the DDO shortcut on his desktop and runs Windows 10, tell him to right-click on it (the shortcut) and choose "Properties" at the bottom of the menu that just opened up.

From there, choose the Compatibility tab.

Once they do that, tell him to look about 4/5 of the way down for a bar that says "Change high DPI settings" on it and click it.

A new window should have opened up that is all about changing the DPI scaling settings. There are also some links in that window that tell you what you can do regarding DPI scaling in Windows.

    Good luck!

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

    This.

One of the options is to allow the app to handle the scaling rather than the OS.

I won't be able to post a screen shot, but I will describe what I did. I downloaded the files for the high resolution graphics. When I logged in the first time the game window was small and up in the left top corner. I went into the main menu, then selected options. Then I clicked the Graphics button and made sure Directx11 was selected. I also told it to go into full screen mode. I chose the resolution to be 1600 X 900. This made the icons and the text far more readable. you may have to log out of the game a couple of times and log back in so all the changes get registered. If changing the resolution makes the Main Menu button fall off the bottom of the menu bar on the left hand side of the screen, you can log out by typing /quit. Then when you log back in, the menu bar will be fixed.
