Default Will rares be missing like in some older sets?

Some old filigree sets do not drop rares except for filigree turn-ins:
    - Bravery Throughout
    - Zarigan's Arcane Enlightenment
    - Dance of the Wind

Will that be fixed? It would be great if this can be fixed for U50 and we can verify the same problem doesn't exist with the new filigree.

Since sometimes the math gets weird with stuff, what's the cooldown reduction both set bonus + arcane alacrity are used? 20% total reduction from base cast time(or some other amount where it's doing some other stacking type math)? Either way, it's something I'd likely use, just curious where the actual reduction falls with it.

Maybe needs one more filigree for a divine DPS caster - Light Spellpower +9 seems appropriate? Cant make 5 pieces without the Turn Undead ones, and those are honestly kinda junk (unless there's something we dont know yet about the new ED system), at least since you nuked CaF.

Wow lotta love for Paladins here, as if they didnt already have a good Smite-based fili set...

Rep Amp I get for BF Pallies...why Neg Amp? There's really no reason for a Paladin to be using Neg, or a Neg user to want LoH charges. Unless, again, something in the new Death Magic ED we dont know about yet.

Just to be sure, the filigree doesnt confer the bluff-on-hit proc chance, right?

Wow...30 Namp for 2 fili slots, on top of Darkhallow. You really dont want PMs to ever die do you?

Pact Die seems odd in this set though. Only Abyss locks will be able to benefit from the Neg and Namp stuff, but +3 die is pretty much must-slot for all Warlocks. Maybe move that to a six-piece bonus for Dragonsoul, and five-piece Keeper could be something more specifically Neg-focused, like Boon of Undeath or chance to proc -10 MRR on offensive spellcast

Ultimate Fury's Strength bonus stays on after you hit Rage even when you swap filigree setup. Swap to 6 piece Ultimate Fury, hit Rage, swap back to your main setup. +10 free Str. All your "+ Str while Raging" enhancements working the same way btw (Raging Strength, Primal Hymn).

Please consider some parity for wisdom DC casters compared to int or cha DC casters.

Int casters have two raid filigrees with +2 Int, and they both belong to sets that add +DC!

Cha casters have two raid filigrees with +2 Cha.

Wis casters only have one raid filigree with +2 Wis and it does not belong to meaningful sets. To make matters worse the Ottos set does not even have a +1 wisdom filigree.

Please add some real love for wisdom based casters when it comes to filigrees.

    Default So confused....

So you go through all this work to lower power creep, to remove bloated stats/spell crit damage/etc., and then come out with Filigree sets that are well above the power level of all previous ones.

Spell Cooldowns, the same as what people go through 3 Epic lives for
    20% critical damage
--Making this an absolute must have for DPS casts

Another set for Smite Evil charges. Just how good do you want to make Paladins?

Tank set but with Negative HAmp? Are there really dead-o tanks? And why +2 LoHs? Should be something more universal. There are Fighter and Druid tanks too remember.

Deadbringer - 30% fort reduction and 18 melee/ranged power? Seems like someone forgot to read the Itemization thread about power creep.

Ultimate Fury - +10 Strength? And as someone already said, works with a swap item? Bad form and again, read your Itemization thread.
--You need to go to the Lotro forms and see all the negative comments about having to swap items before activating certain skills/attacks. It is not well received over there and I imagine will be the same here. You already have one for barbarians with the HP set. You are repeating the same mistake here a second time.

Then you finally add a Warlock set but fumble it in head shaking fashion. Negative HAmp, Negative/Light spell power only. Just what was your thought process on this?
--Support Abyss but not the others? Support Enlightened Spirit but not the others?
--With the Pact dice in the set bonus, you are telling Warlocks, that this is the set for you....but only 2 of you.

I just don't get it. Maybe I am dense but these new sets seem to poo-poo into the fan pushing all that 'less power creep' **** you are blowing our way.

I want to like this but not as is. Right now it only appeals to Abyss Pact warlocks. The set bonuses need to be restructured to appeal to ALL pacts not just one. DPS warlock is way behind in epic damage even after the added feats so moving up the pact die helps the whole class not just abyss pact. right now it feels like another set for PM's with a pact die set bonus thrown in as a bone for warlocks.

A more universally appealing set bonus order might be

2 Pieces: MRR (lowered to +5 to match other sets)
    3 Pieces: Pact Die
4 Pieces: neg HAMP (raised to 20 to match other sets)
5 Pieces: +1 DC (raised to +2 to match other sets)

This would allow any warlock to take CON, CHA. and 1 of Light spell power/MRR/PRR.

(Another possibility is move pact die bonus to 2 pieces, Neg amp to 3 set bonus, move MRR to 4th set bonus since it is set at 10 (compared to other sets at 5)

Abyssal pact is maybe 4th but more than likely 5th in the most played pacts list. Fiend and Carceri are the top 2 with Goo and Fey probably being 3rd and 4th. Having the bonuses restructured allows for ANY warlock to get the benefit of the pact die and then if an abyssal warlock wants to invest more they can for the added benefits. otherwise it seems like i am being penalized for choosing some other pact and I am forced to get stuff I DONT need to get what i DO need. as this is designed right now i am getting half of other sets for more of a slot investment. thats not a good trade off, period.

the +1 DC feels like a rip off though because both otto's and eye of the beholder with a 4 Piece investment give +2. so by only having a +1 it makes me feel like the other sets that give DC bonuses are going to get ganked.

10 Neg amp from the bonus feels weak too especially compared to Dark hallow which gives 20.

+2 will saves seems pointless as most warlocks are going to take force of personality and use CHA for will saves. Since there are only 6 sets that have Fortitude saves consider changing this to a fort save instead of a will save. OR change it to force spell power for those warlocks that dont use utterdark blast.

Got some time to play around with these; they're quite nice. Just wish the cooldown reductions worked on SLAs too.

    • Runearm DC +1
    • Sonic Spellpower +9
Very cool re: Rune Arm Recharge rate, DC, MRR/PRR and Electric Spell Power. Genuinely nice set!

Sonic spell power strikes me as random but like maybe... Arti Feywild Illusionist so have the Scion of Feywild feat... or for Fatesingers/swashbuckler SWF-ers? I'd suggest changing it to Force but no stress if this is intentional.

Also nice re: +2 Assassinate as low hanging 2-filigree-fruit. A few more of those would be the dream.

These new filigree sets seem to be well thought out, makes me happy to see specific sets for specific flavor and specifically addressing some of the concerns the community has about all the nerfing - its nice to read something that finally made me happy instead of mind-numbingly death star beam depressed.

Excellent, thank you for listening to the feedback.

Now that you're on a roll:

-Do not repeat the LOTRO mistake: Value your VIPS, give them more - especially mini expacs like SSS
-For the U51 ED Revamp keep Twists please - Twists of Fate are very iconic DDO epic - we all love them and the idea of being epic without a twist makes me crying in the bath tub sad. You can easily add the ability to use them the same way they are now, with your new system of selecting 3 trees - the twists let you add from the unfocused 9 trees.
-Make everything but the raid items bind to account - I understand your biz of 'gifts of fate' to pass bound rare raid items to another toons on an account, but everything else literally is so common - I have no room - I've purchased every bank expansion possible and I have no room, there are too many bind to character things - minor artifacts are so common they do not need to be bind to character. the old bound and attuned ritual should be bound to account not character. Please. Pretty please. With sugar on it. Make everyone happy.

No info on the rare versions of these new Filigree sets? The rare versions were not available at the "Loot Guy" and no info on that in this thread.

When building a set that is meant for a very specific class/build, it should offer the equivalent or better over a more build agnostic set. For example, the new Bend Fate set offers this:

When 2 pieces are equipped: +10 Sonic Spellpower
When 3 pieces are equipped: +1 Spell Penetration
When 4 pieces are equipped: +1 Enchantment DC
When 5 pieces are equipped: +1 All DC

That set is clearly for a bard, but I don't know why a DC-needing bard would use that over Lunar Magic:

When 2 pieces are equipped: +100 Maximum Spellpoints
When 3 pieces are equipped: +1 All Spell DC
When 4 pieces are equipped: +20 Universal Spellpower
When 5 pieces are equipped: +1 All Spell DC

Not only does the latter offer DCs that apply to all schools, but it provides a much-more-useful +20 universal spellpower rather than +10 to one element. To provide a very bard-focused filigree set, the Enchantment DC bonus should be +2 (probably even Enchantment/Evocation/Illusion +2) and the Sonic spellpower should be +20 at a minimum.

Is the plan to give better artifacts post level 30?? Meaning more sentient slots? Because the trend of moving filigree set bonuses from 3/4/5 to a 5/6 standard is rather expensive in terms of sentient experience.

Are there any plans to take some of the lesser used older filigree sets and give them a tiny balance pass in power? Lots of older filigree sets have 5% heal amp seems the new standard is 10% would appreciate if the old ones were bumped to 10 given the nerfs incoming to gear heal amp. Celerity and Voltaic Experiment both give 2% doublestrike/shot should really be 5% to be competitive.

The bard one should be crunched to a 4 piece set, 3 piece should be +1 spell pen and +1 enchant dc, 4 piece should be the +1 all dcs.

Default Thank you for adding a set with warlock pact dice

It would be great if you added a single filigree to that set with 1 pact die. The reason is that very few warlocks go Abyss to due to various problems with that pact so having more options to make up the 5 piece set would be very helpful since negative doesn't benefit many warlocks.

I also think the dc set bonus should be +2 to match other set bonuses.
