Horizon Walker is not a melee tree.

That said, you may find things worth spending on a melee in this tree that would help you reach the Trance (we definitely shuffled some of the low tier abilities for preview 2), but it's not intended to be optimal for melees. There may be a different tree someday with a DEX trance someday that is optimal for melees; Horizon Walker is not intended to be that tree.

I played HW, trust me. YOUR interpretation of HW is 100% better than what I saw.

Too be honest, HW in it's current form sucks wind. I won't but it for any amount of money or points.

HW is a good tree for shiradi casters, thrown, repeaters, and melee. It is good for bow too, but bow base is so nerfed it doesn't seem like it. Maybe even GXbows for leveling.

They had to pump so much power into it to make up for how bad base bow is that all the non-bow uses of it are fairly decent.

Heh, did you try it out as a replacement tree for non-bow use? Warsoul, for example, has 0 power in it. If I replace warsoul with HW, I get an additional 50 more power from AF max stacks, 60 more power from tumbling at 30, and 10 more power from capstone, for 120 more power.

A shiradi archmage can replace T5 AM with hellball/Tsunami to proc MoK, and T5 HW+aimed shot+ repeater to scale shiradi procs. A shiradi druid could replace T5 SH which is barely a loss of anything and do the same.
