    Default Cloaks, cloaks, cloaks

I can only speak for myself.
I think there are too many cosmetic cloaks to commemorate, reward, or signify achievements.
The rest I toss. (though it's easy to do now that a new character will receive many of the commemorative cloaks, bta- thank you.)
We can only wear one at a time... yet cloaks are the go to non-power-creep reward for everything from surviving HC to tying our shoes.

Is it possible to open up an alternate line of cosmetics instead?

    Auras, perhaps?
    Halos/horns/laurels?
    Shimmers, shadows, streaks?
Masks that show along with headgear?
    Boots?
    Fishing rods?
Gear dye palettes so we can fix horrible combinations on amazing armors? (orange and purple? really?)
    Hairstyles?

Don't get me wrong: I know some effort goes into designing the cloaks to represent, yo, but... it's the "great new thing" that's had its time.
    Perhaps it's time to diversify?

    But please, no more cloaks...
In all posts: Assume I'm just providing a personal opinion rather than trying to speak for everyone.

Agreed... I would love to have masks that show with helmets. I just grabbed the skull facemask from the Mabar event and thought it would look cool with a hood or a samurai type helmet.

I would also LOVE to be able to dye armors and gear, kind of like how you can do in Witcher 3. This way if I pick up some combination of random gear that I like the look of, but the colors are off, I can match them. I this this could be a good money maker for SSG too. I think alot of players would pay real money for the ability to dye their gear.

Magic is a curious thing; full of hope and promise one minute, then someone summons a t-rex jet fighter to kill you.

Changing the color of the HCL 1 footsteps would probably be pretty easy.. that's all we want!

    Also, no more cloaks!

I would pay so much of my real money if ddo allowed me to play around with fashion.
I absolutely love fashion in games, ddo excluded since they do not put enough effort into that.

They are clearly capable to do so but refuse to put effort into it.

Idk why, it is pure money that can be earned /:

    More bling, yes please.

Like the leaves swirlin around you when you have one of the druid spells on?

    Would like a Halo.

But also different effects on hands or feet.

Fully agreed - I love cloaks, but there is too few space to store them right now.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

Cloaks hit the saturation point with the Houses cloaks.

To be fair, your cloak is the biggest piece of cosmetics and the one cosmetic slot that you can eastily see on yourself as you're playing. It makes sense that its the "primary" slot for cosmetic rewards

But yeah, they hand those things out way too much when A) there's nowhere to store them, and B) they're all really gimmicky and I dont think many people actually want to use them as their cloaks, they go with something that fits the rest of their ensemble. Its kinda like getting a T-shirt as a souvenir from somewhere you went...you like to have it and look at it, but you dont actually wear it.

However, I wonder if they're reticent to give out other slot cosmetics as often because they're usually more particle-based, and might contribute to performance issues..?

I don't have a problem with cloaks, just picked up a green night revels one. That said, I wouldn't mind exclusive hairstyles.
