A few thoughts to consider on some Sands items:

Marilith Chain - this was iconic armor for a period of time, both for the green color and being able to get seeker on your armor. I would suggest giving this a rather high exceptional seeker stat.

Bloodstone - THE chest farm item from Sands. It became invalidated once seeker became available everywhere. Since the only thing Bloodstone has going for it is seeker, some changes should be made. Perhaps a poor man's (or non-raid) version of the Bloodrage Chrism?

Torq - Since the get hit to spell point proc era is over, maybe give this a Spell song vigor clickie?

Bracers of the Demon Consort - I really hope you come up with something cool (and unique) for these.

I think they made the right decision, anything but total best in slot will be viewed as a fail.

Did I miss something? I don't read the form much and just play the game. And right now my level 12 Cleric has the Torq and the Demon Bracers in his gear layout and both work great. I get a lot of spelloints out of the Troq while the Spell Penetration is a nice addition. The wizardry part on the Torq could be better, 75 SP is MEH.. but appart from that I love that item. Is it because people try to not get hit at all in reaper?

Same with the Demon Bracers. The temp HP stack with other sources like the Cavalery Plate. The curse guard could proc a bit more often, but I prefer debuffing guards over a few points of damage any day.

Seems to be the case. I mostly run Elite, R1, or R2 and I can still torc just fine with enough hamp and PRR. Must be the R5-10 folks saying this stuff is obsolete.

I'm hoping the eTorc pass at least bumps it to Archmagi and Spell Pen III or IV. Asking for a stronger mana regen effect seems greedy, but I'm going to throw that in too. Hell, put it in a set bonus with the eGreen Blade and/or the eRoSS for giggles.

I expect, at most, 1 for epic normal, 3 for EE. It's ONE quest for God's sake! People are running a few quests on EE or higher difficulty in an hour. And in my opinion, named items should be valuable, not something you look at and say "meh, got 100 already, trash'. That high droprate means people will have all named items they want in 1 evening game session, since Greater Tokens are not an issue either.
My suggestion: either lower the droprate of pack ingredients significantly (and lower turn-in ratio of old s/s/s for ingredients) or increase the cost of upgrading items from normal to epic.
Greater tokens might not be an issue if you have been raiding for lolz for the last 10 years, but it is a huge block for most people because the sources are very limited.

I agree items should not in general be too easy, but it doesn't need to be impossible to get an item in a day or two either.

Default Oh dang, I'm down for this update

Finally a reason to run more Sands and maybe use that stuff from Sentinels...

Oh jeez Legendary Helm of the Mroranon? what a classic. Thornlord? So many possibilities. I wanna see Legendary Greatclub of The Scrag.

Also will be nice to see CitW and FoT Loot in Endgame now. Weapon options for days!

I hope they fix token drops in Fens while they are in the loot tables, I run everything that drops tokens each life except for fens since they have low token drops.

There are not many raids where you can get greater tokens btw.

I really liked this idea. Old raids are almost impossible to run if they have a minimum number of players req, or some long and boring flagging... cof cof Abbot... so getting the raid loot from elsewhere is fantastic.

And another suggestion. Keep the 20th completion, but also counts the normal quests towards it. Basically when you run 20 quests from the pack, you can choose between some random raid loots from the NPC reward chain.

Cordovan will probably ban me for this but I have mild criticisms of the new crafting system and would prefer the level 20 items drop in epic content.

Everything works in heroics. These are epic item upgrades and should scale up so they are actually useful in epics. The playstyle you describe won't last very long in any epic beyond EH.

Since the s/s/s is a crafting system, we don't want to invalidate previous progress. If someone has spent 10 years grinding the ESoS, we don't want to tell that person to keep farming for it, we want to actually let them get that item as soon as the update drops. They've already done the time, we need to let them turn those spare materials (which in this instance represent time they're already spent grinding) into a tangible reward.
Quoting just this part because I don't get it? How do you tell that me and my group of 4 have been farming the same two shards for 10 years and not just one day? We each have exactly one Seal of the item we need and exactly one Scroll of the item we need in our banks. Why would we have kept any other copies of that items S/S/S? At the end of every run, we just clear out our ingredients bags to save space. Are you saying we should have been saving the hundreds of Scrolls, Seals, and other random Shards we didn't need? Or just that we need the Scroll and Seal of the item that we've been saving?

They do stack in bags and crafting storage so you’re not saving space by deleting extras. You could have 1 or 20 and it would take up the same amount of bag space.

Could you clarify what the correct set bonus is for the Kundrak Delving Equipment set as another poster has a different bonus?

Another issue is that the armor and the goggles both have search and spot on them.
Maybe add Fortification or even nimbleness and something else on the armor. Fire resistance or absorption could fit here due to fighting Velah.

    So much this.

I have been playing for 10 years, and a couple years ago I just threw all the S/S/S ingredients except SoS, Wolf Whistler and a couple more items. This was a decision led by inventory overflow and the pitiful state of epic items... what do we get now? A slap in the face if we got rid of that ton of useless ingredients.

In Lammania a quest completion is 4 ingredients. So, to make a epic piece you will need... 13 runs of a single quest?

And what about eChrono? 13 completions to get a single item? Okay, perhaps it's too much and they should drop in a completed form from a chest.

Honestly not at all. Given that there are weapons in the game that offer more versatility that include but not limited to debuffs, damage procs, etc.

    Hi Lynnable,

I don´t understand the new attribute scaling system- most quest in heroic content gave +8 items in lvl15 minimum (mines of thetyamar)
    Graz'zt's Habiliment for example.
How should a +9 Dex item then interesting in lvl20? You need 5 lvls more to get one plus for attribute increase?
In my opinion you get much more attribute increase from enhancements and epic destinies then from items now, so items are much less important then enhancements and destinies in the future?

What this game needs more than anything is a complete revamp of Forgotten Realms loot. Specifically the Eveningstar chain, Wheloon and Stormhorns.

    - Love the S/S/S update, sounds great!
    - The Horizon Walker Tree seems to be somewhat middle of the road. Guess that is OK or ranged Ranger would become obsolete.
    - I get the point of the rollback on the high stat items, but I didn't get why they had so out of range bonuses to begin with. Please don't try to push sales that way. The average DDO Player may be old enough to not fall for such tricks and it might backfire big time.
    - Saltmarch wasn't my favorite but it is more how you do it and not what contend you do. Like Stormhorns are just great because they where so well done. I hope Saltmarsh isn't as boring as Borderlands is.

    Cheers

Epic Leg chronoscope sets been waiting a long time for a more updated version only 1 small problem

The caster half has no spell lore crits which makes it inferior to all other sets and unusable since we'll need crits more then ever after the update

Right now a heroic sharn set is still better then the chrono 3 set maybe you could change that
