The builder system is junk. Adding ANOTHER toggle, and button mashing, to the game is an unwarranted change. Apparently some rocket scientist decided we needed more buttons. Really.

Removing feats, and placing them in trees that some of the builds don't even use, or can't access at high Tier, further destroyed flexibility. It compounds one mistake by adding 16 more.

Synopsis? Some of the hardcore and really bored players will stick with DDO-2 Grind Edition, but expect a migration to a game where developers actually listen.
If you arent mashing buttons now... you been piking quests since you got here js
Most vets only occasionally use their mouse unless they got a gaming mouse. hitting hot keys is way easier with two hands on the board. IOW
Pro tip- Key map a layout where you do not even have to touch your mouse...and mash more buttons.

Some people do not have that kind of hand to eye coordination. That’s why ddo is great. No button mashing, though a gaming mouse is a must. I could never move using keys the way you describe. I hate it. Clunky as hell to me. Far smoother with a mouse. Camera just glides.

THIS. 100%. If this ONE change is implemented, I can finally say (because I never have before--check my history if you don't believe me) I will quit and never look back.

heh. look at my join date. I'm one of the originals. soon, I will be gone too. U51 in its current form will guarantee it. Sure, I will play for a few days to weeks to see for myself because I will remain as open minded as I can, but I fear the one toon I have the most fun with will be irrevocably destroyed. Dire Charge changes will end her.

I'm all for completely removing slayer areas and sagas, if xp for quests is improved. i have always hated the grind that they represent. remove repeat penalties from dungeons if you are in a full group and allow all levels to group together (with high level players abilities' scaled down.) But these easy solutions aren't in the playbook for them. Instead, they will mess with gameplay--this AFTER including Reaper difficulty and alienating some of the eldest playerbase originally. they just can't seem to make a good decision.

I'm afraid U51 has cut the last thread tying me to this game. Is it the systems being implemented? No, not really.

It's rebuilding my characters again, and again, and again. The goal posts moved one too many times.
It takes me a year or two to get every character just right, just the way i like it so i can log on and enjoy myself without having to chase this or that. Then Boom... they change it all again and this time, well, I've run out of love.

Coit has gone to another place, where the story and the game are one (reckon you can all figure it out with all the gaming chatter in the news lately).

I may drop in from time to time as my GF is still playing, but the 12 years of devotion have ended.

    Peace out all, Coit out.

I love where DDO is going with U50 and 51. I suspect the game will keep going longer than I will be alive!
He left the name, at which the world grew pale.

Didn't you just assert a couple posts earlier an admonition against "taking things away"?

Or are you admitting that sometimes, balance for the sake of game quality is necessary?
