Mount Stable and MOAR

I love the implementation of the Mount Stable. It's really QOL for sure.

I just went to get my panther on HCL and realized, why not implement a permanent hireling "stable" as well? That would be excellent and free up even more spaces. Obviously, I don't have a clue on if this is even possible, but it sure seems like it would be nice to have!

I'm thankful for what we have and hoping for MOAR in the future!

I'd imagine because perm hires aren't supposed to be account based? They're bta but you can't have a copy on every alt simultaneously...

You say that, but they did nuke the horse bag when they introduced the stable.

I was very disappointed as I found out that I couldn't put my horse certificates into the horse bag anymore.

Indeed put them in a hireling tab

There is other stuffs that can be implemented this way as well.

Would be nice to have the teleport and movement items in a tab, like Eveningstar key, anniversary die, Phiarlan pendant and such, maybe even the Harper pin.

i dont think a hireling tab would make sense for what kind of item it is. it shouldn't be able to be accessed through different characters and it shouldn't be infinite like the mount stable tab.

It would work better as a hireling bag or folder that uses one inventory slot.

The mount stable is indeed a very good QoL improvement it literally made my day and I'm still happy every time when I enjoy the improvements compared to the situation before!

It just needs some additions like there should be a check box to tell DDO you always want to enter a public area on your selected mount (without the need to click it each time) and this option could be also possible for slayer areas.
Another thing is you should only be dismounted when you fail a concentration check so you are not dismounted by minor damage if you only want to ride to a quest and your intention is not to fight...
And I go even further you could have the mount feature that enemies in a slayer area don't agro on you if you are mounted so you don't cause DA or server lag if you only want to ride to a quest and your intention is not at all to fight anything.

But the first thing that slips into my mind that also needs a similar UI is cosmetics.
A UI for permanent hireling would be also good but this is only needed if you could buy permanent hireling in the DDO shop, basically, all hireling could be buyable as a permanent version in the DDO shop the question is only how high the price should/could be.
And of course, I wish such permanent hirelings would scale with your character levels like the artificer and druid pets.

And yes I know its easy to wish things even if they are reasonable demands but its much harder to actually implement them into DDO

When you create a new character, they give you a copy of all of them except for Elieri, so I'm not sure what you mean about not being able to have a copy on every alt simultaneously.

As a clarification, I was talking about the hirelings from the expansions. I think all VIP's at one point also got a panther. And yes, Elieri would be nice to have in there as well. I still think this makes a lot of sense.

Hold on though, the idea of Cosmetics in this type of UI is also nice. What if it was just the Cosmetics from the expansions? Still worth it? Expansions plus Hard Core League and such? I'm thinking yes. I have to think that the devs are thinking along these lines for additional QOL improvements especially when the Mount Stable has been met with only success (as far as I am aware of!).

Since the concept of a cosmetics bag or wardrobe has been shot down so many times, perhaps instead expansion cosmetics could be reclaimed from an NPC in the Hall of Heroes like the Hardcore League ones can. I wouldn’t care about deleting the items if I knew I could get them back again when I want them.
