is this the one that gives a bonus to named item drops? or it this the one that gives "better" random loot?

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

I dont think there's ever been a Named Item Drop Rate bonus weekend, its always the Random Loot Affix Quality bonus.

But the names are still confusing and not actually descriptive, so this question still gets asked every time...

I wish they'd just retire the latter (ran gen loot is such a minor factor) and add the former into the rotation. Especially since you'd only be able to get at most 8 pulls before a given chest ransacked for the weekend, anyway. And it might encourage people to buy AS to reroll, so revenue

    It's Win/Might Win.
    Great idea. Marketing take note.

To me, this sounds utterly elitist.

I'm always surprised how much it is frowned upon to have random loot at all. Don't you think Newbies, who have their lowest levels, wouldn't profit from good random loot ?

And even in the middle regions [of levels], there are things within random loot that I have *never* seen of named loot.
Blindness immunity, for example. Or some sorts of "guard" functions.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

New players and vets alike can benefit from a named item boost. Heck, a brand new player with a purely F2P account has access to loot that was revamped in the most recent update.

The boosts this week though are pretty clearly focused around Cannith crafting. +10 to lootgen increases the chances you’ll get special materials or augment slots, at least in theory.

End rewards still do not show augment slots on items, any word on if this is getting fixed?

Is it really "elitist" if the bonus would apply across the board to everyone?

Now, if Droid said the bonus should reflect the number of years played as a percentage, sure, that would smack of elitism.
Typically, he's pretty much on the level for ideas and suggestions.

elitist would be a +1% bonus for every hour of game time you have logged in the past 4 days

Well, my alts are mainly made up of random loot, not named loot.
Only my main and mainalt characters get the named loot. And even they get items with things I cannot find on named loot.

A few of my end rewards last night showed augment slots on items. If memory serves, this was fixed not all that long after the augment system was changed (depending on your personal definition of what counts as "not that long", of course).

I don't use random loot at all just because the items can get permanent durability damage.

I don't know if it had anything to do with this bonus or not but last weekend I was on a winning streak.
And had a blast going out questing and raiding to get all those items.
Sure, two failed raids but caught up on those the next day with a group that was much better suited for the task.
Now I think of it... should have bought a lottery ticket, but that would probably have broken my streak.
(Just as much as typing it out here is going to fix my streak back to the normal "awww, nothing" again. )
