Default Bard songs don't trigger Deific Warning anymore

Is that change wai? Can we get that back?
I must have missed it in the release notes or it was ninja fixed.
What is the reason? This is absolutely too imba? This is something good for the player and therefore we need to nuke it? I mean it was around for years now and suddenly it gets cancelled? Are you bored? Get some ladders fixed or something. This is really lame.

shame, it must have been quite game breaking that they needed to be secretive about it

What is a deific warning ? That a god or a goddess doesn't like the bard's songs ?
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

I think it's about Deific Warding (lvl 29 Divine Destiny feat).

That it worked in the first place was a bug. This is the tooltip:
+10 PRR and MRR. When you take damage from an enemy's attack or spell, add one stack of Deific Warding (+2 to PRR and MRR). This effect can stack up to 10 times. One stack is removed every 3 seconds.
Nothing there should have any relation to bard songs at all. Bad coding probably uses or used spell regen on the damage channel, which then triggered the Warding-effect.

Now that exploit can't be used anymore, and it's a reason to rejoice: Having abilities in the game that doesn't match their tooltips is always bad.
Nothing in this game is essential, unless you are a power-gaming & unimaginative lemming who follows everyone else, without having any form of creativity or original thought rolling around your brainpain...

I don't get how it was beneficial in the first place. If stacks wear off after 3 seconds, and most bard songs are sung at the beginning of the quest, then wouldn't it be gone before the party steps away from the entrance? Or was there something about some bard songs being constantly up without having to be sung that was keeping Deific Warding up all the time? And if so, geesh who did the math that figured that out? To max it out you would need 10 songs humming along nonstop.

And as far as I have seen, at epic elite or above, even the max 20 prr/mrr has no visible effect whatsoever. It definitely isn't going to make or break you doing a quest at X difficulty or failing. At level 4 it is would be pretty great, but by definition we're not talking about level 4.

So basically as long as the bard was built to give spell points back then deific warding would've had 100% uptime max stacks. While not game breaking to have to up, it's completely cheesing the feat in a way not intended.

You are right, it is not intended but it would not have hurt to update the the tooltip instead of fixing the feat. A bard song makes this feat worthwhile.
The bard song cancels out Vile Blasphemy, too. No one is fixing that.

It was a small thing, it was a nice thing, it is around for some time now. Was it really that high a priority?

I see, I knew I must be missing something critical, and I was! Thank you!
