Question Crafting Question - Seeker or Damage Effect?

Currently, my throwing weapon is a Cannith Crafted +3 Smashing 3 Flametouched Iron Returning Throwing Dagger of Bludgeoning 3. I am a 2nd Life Bard/Rogue (Swashbuckler, Warchanter, Falconry). I am level 10.

I want to upgrade my current throwing dagger. As the Prefix, would you recommend Seeker or a Damage Effect like Force or Light or ...? I have read the debate about Seeker on the forums, I cannot decide if Seeker would be useful.

My Cannith Crafting Level is 190.

You should have a seeker item somewhere in your gear if you are a swashbuckler, not your weapon. So even if you switch to your throwing weapon, the seeker will apply to that.
But your throwing weapon won't be doing that much damage anyway unless you have ranged feats, and improved crit: ranged.
So the answer is: Damage effect like Force or Light

I would not worry too much about it. I usually go with the starter shortbow which I destroy when I pull some thrower from cache.

I think your current thrower can serve you just fine. I have a vorpal throwing weapon on one of my characters. There's also a named vorpal dart in Sharn (twisted missile). I have Nightforge Spike on one character; that one can have pretty obscene crit profile with swashbuckling. Also, axes are d6 vs daggers d4. I think I might have crafted a thunder-forged throwing hammer (just basic ml22) but I never remember to use it. I might have consumed it for sentience. Also KotB epic thrower should be a solid option if you want to waste inventory slots.

I'm actually using dual crossbows from Inquisitive on my Bard, with Charisma to Hit/Damage from Feydark Illusionist. That's 4 points in Inquisitive Tree. It's actually doing me pretty good DPS without any ranged feats. Currently level 8. Don't know if I'll be doing it until level 20 but its an alternative to a throwing weapon if you feel you would need more long range power.

put seeker on something else, like boots or trinket

Level 10 ? Barovian Throwing Dagger is the easiest upgrade. Unless you don't own Ravenloft, in which case go get it .
