Z-fighting should be when you get those weird texture flickers because two objects/walls/etc. are the same point in the z-buffer and fighting for which one gets drawn on top (unless they're using it in a different way here). You'll notice it when floor tiles flicker a bunch.

Several quests have had bugs corrected related to z-fighting and stuck spots.

Most of the time I'm in quests when I see them and really don't have time to /bug it right then and there. Should I just submit a mass bug report with a bunch of them at once at a later time or do I need to do /bug for each spot individually for them to be best addressed? I saw these 3 spots just off last night/today so far so there's still a bunch that this last patch didn't fix. The estar one is in town and constantly headache inducing.

On a related note, Strahd jacked me up with Ruin in HE Sunrise last week (on hardcore, to boot). Is that WAI, him having a spell from an epic feat (that players can't even get until 27) in an adjusted-level 14 quest?

That's an intended behavior from Strahd triggered under very specific circumstances; it's not in his general spell list.

Not going to give the specific triggers that cause it, but I'd try varying your strategy a bit.

If anyone has any information on the triggers - it would be great to hear. I was hit for 5k on R6 solo which one-shot me. It's happened only a few times in hundreds of runs. I seem to recall it only happens when I get the enemy of my enemy optional and have a hard time pulling strahd into the water due to my threat reduction presumably.

Ugh yes I hate when I get Esmeralda on that quest solo because she'll just aggro the hell out of him and I'm like you're not helping

If only she had a dialog option of "Do you want to take nice bath Esmeralda? There's a nice pool over there (diplomacy check)."

i got hit by that twice so far, both time had either esmeralda or a mob grab aggro for too long with strahd out of the water, with 0 hp left. i usually sat in the tree until i realise whats going on, as soon i went back to the ground i got hit by an AoE ruin type instant circle boom that killed me. both time i think mobs were all gone

so if i had to guess the trigger, get him to 0 hp, and keep him out of the water, and kill all the trash, somethign alogn those line should reproduce it

best is to never talk to esmeralda when shes there
