Default Hardcore Build Request - Pure Artificer Warforged - Ranged/Trapper

I'm looking to run a pure artificer warforged on Hardcore server to help trap, and with a focus on repeating crossbows. I don't have access to Inquisitive, and I don't think I have Harper available.

I'd like to use Augment Summoning early on for the Iron Defender and hirelings to help get me through most of heroics, with a plan to swap it out if I hit epics.

Build ideas and the order to take enhancements would be greatly appreciated. I was looking at this older build, but it's more casting-focused than what I'm going for:

    Thanks in advance!

For some reason all of the Iron Defender bonuses are in the Arcanotechnician tree, so a pet-focused Artificer should go with a caster build like Strimtom's. You'll also want Harper for Leadership (+4 to all stats of summons & pets).

Arti is strong for hardcore - I went 15 arti/3 paladin/2 monk warforged and just earned my 10th reaper pt for the cloak with the build. Paladin levels are helpful this season because it gives you fear immunity and disease immunity plus of course the PRR/MRR and hp if you are going adamantine plating. If you want to go pure just stock up on pots and maybe slot a fear immunity augment at 8 which is much more forgiving.

What pure arti has going for it is if you max out int you can use a combination of repeater, rune arm blast and a few keys spells as your rotation while benefiting form the defensive benefits in renegade master maker which I personally think is the best main tree for hardcore if you aren't going inquisitive. Static shock with crown of snow worked really well for me as some cheap low level cc to start with and of course you have better options at higher levels.

Repeaters drop off at higher levels but this is strong enough to get you to 20 just fine: https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:The_Fatal_Flaw

Warforged is an easy button race due to the repair spells. Plus the memories of the last war and weapon attachment are both really solid during heroic levels. If you aren't dipping into harper you can spend pts there.

I didn't bother with improved precise shot due to the dex requirement which basically requires a tome or going dex to make use of it. As pure arti spells and rune arm blast are your aoe. If you buy a tome it's no problem to take it.

Good luck and have a great season!
