    Default U49 Trapper/DPS/Solo - my current Arcane Archer build

    I have returned to the game recently, after playing for years, and I have done a few heroic and epic lives with my main, Punkratzia on Argonessen (and retweaked my two alts). After she took HR Completionist (a few years ago) all her subsequent lives have been multiclass archer builds of different flavors, since that's what I have the most fun with. U49 thus was very important to me, as I had to choose what to do after the bow pass, while waiting for the Horizon Walker tree and the ED rehaul.
    The following is the build I have settled for, which is not optimized for dps but still gets me the following:

    - full trapping/searching skills (at cap 110+ disable & search, 130+ open lock) since I want to be able to play any quest to its fullest (find and open all doors, chests, etc)
    - self healing (650 positive sp, 125 HA)
    - evasion with 100+ reflex save and no fail on 1
    - all kinds of DR bypass in any combination without any need of weapon swaps
    - enough ranged dps to feel confindent in average skulls reaper raids (e.g. R4 VOD) and top content low skulls solo's (e.g. Sharn R1)
    - magic missiles immunity (I *hate* getting hit by magic missiles so this is very important in nearly all my builds lol)
    - Diplomacy (to get some optionals or shortcuts)
    - full UMD to use any scroll or whatever

    The bad about it is probably hit points, but ranged builds, specially cloth ranged builds, can't get too many: I am sitting at nearly 1200 unbuffed (and before the extra reaper hp from reaper trees).
    Vs mobs immune to electricity damage I swap to force arrows, the dps of course goes a bit down (no scion of air damage, no filigree damage, force arrows use d6s instead of d8s).

    The build below is done without extra racial ap but if you have any it's pretty easy to use them, since the build already uses 15 of them in the elf tree. Just put 6 more there to get more bow damage and doubleshot (and dodge bypass), then 1 point in arcanotechician for 10 electricity spellpower and then some in there or eldritch knight for more hp and spellpower.
    Also I haven't listed Reaper XP, since that's really the same for everybody.

    Gear is where I am currently standing, I should probably change my bracers and fit somehow a LGS combo. Any tip for that is welcome (on how to fit a second LGS item, for the hp bonus).

    Why Arti 13 instead of 12?
    It gives me a second lvl 5 spell, i.e. Silver Weapons (the first one would be Tenser of course).

    Why Wiz 1?
    Shield, mainly, and the extra feat allows me to get Empower Healing Spell (with the wizard feat I take Quicken and that gives a free slot to get EHS).

    Why Monk?
    In the beginning I had TTS. Then U49 came and I was ready to get rid of the monk levels, but after some playing around I found that they were still nice: the extra running speed, the +1 crit on 19-20 from the fire stance, the feats (well, 1 feat, since I get 3 feats but need to take master of forms and zen archery, but it's still 1 extra feat) and a few other things.

    I could go ranger or fighter 6 instead of monk and wear some light armour but in this AA build I have no spare action points, so I wouldn't be able to raise the dodge cap or get the DWS light armour perks.

    Ranger and Fighter can't do traps. Rogue does, but Arti gives me 3 feats and Tenser.

    Removing Wizard and Artificer for Ranger + Rogue (using shield clickies, which are very uncomfortable btw) can work of course: 11 rng 6 mnk 3 rog. You get 3 favored enemies & 2 sneak dice (unless you go dws but that's completely another build) but lose other perks like tenser, umd bonuses, scroll bonuses, weapon spells, dog (very helpful to solo a few quests with levers etc).
