Cleric Divine Disciple vs FVS Angel of Vengeance?

This is mainly for heroic and epic leveling and not end game performance.
The build intended is Pure Casting (No melee or Ranged weapons involved)

I'm seeing both of them have a good share of SLA's and Extra Spells, but what if you added Sun Domain to Cleric, would it be stronger or Toe to Toe with AoV?
Or any other domains that would be better offensively to be better than AoV? Fire?

AoV has more +caster levels/max caster levels so it'll hit harder per cast. But some the cleric SLAs are really sweet and being able to have more maxed out SLAs in rapid casting succession probably keeps the gap pretty close between both classes (popping a SLA holy smite + normal holy smite = wicked fun).
