    No they wouldn't

I would like to know what SSG's response would be to the following scenario:

    1. Player buys a Legendary Raid Timer for 150 DDO Store Points.
    2. Player resets timer for a Raid that he is seeking an item from.
    3. Raid is completed and item spawns in chest for player.
    4. Before player can loot the chest, server is shutdown without any notice.
    5. Player has now lost item he was seeking as well as any raid runes.

Would that player be compensated for any loss?
Hell no cause they don't respect the players.

Players on Lammania, "It's not ready".
SSG QA and Devs, "It's ready, we're rolling it!"
5 hour update before servers come back up.
SSG QA and Devs, "It wasn't ready."
Servers brought down less than gracefully, several hours later.
    Players, "Argghhhhh!"
    Rinse/repeat for update 50.

Thank goodness those plats weren't allowed to flood the market, given their intrinsic value.

And that's including all sorts of other middle fingers to the players, such as removing legacy guild elemental resistance shrines.

Reminds me why I haven't spent a single dime on this game in the past 5 years. Pretty clear that SSG doesn't want my money, so I won't give it to them. At least the core gameplay of DDO is good enough, preventing me from quitting outright.
The other players are what is keeping me here. I also refuse to pay a company that doesn't respect their player base. How about some actual customer support. You can even have players do it for DDO points if you don't have the money.

Why not just put the full update on lamania. Let the whole gang log in, and see whether there are any technical problems before hand.

    Hey.
Any clues as to which issues are being addressed?
I assume the loading screen lag, the "golden goose" arrow situation, and the rubber band/invis wall issue are being fixed.
with the weapon swap thing being more complicated and probably not being fixed by tomorrow.
    Is that the case?

Also, any idea what time in the AM? 9 o'clock? Later? Earlier?

I figured there'd be issues since you all are going under the hood with this one and not just tweaking.
So I'm no too honked, as Jeets says, but I would like to get back at it, obviously.

    Thanks.

It's almost like SSG has us all on their squelch list.

And on top of this, when I started swinging, i don't see floaty numbers for at least another second. This was reported on the Lam preview thread. This is not fluid or fun at all. Any build that actively swaps items during battles will see this when they get to play (looks like tomorrow). I hope this is part of the fix. Its really that bad.

    Thanks,

Huh. This explains a lot. Thanks! I've died a number of times because of attempted weapon swaps.

Actually, yes they would. Many companies will compensate customers for slight inconveniences. If your willing to stick up for yourself and not be a sucker.

Wonder which category you would fall into.

As a project manager in software development, this sort of negative customer interaction to your product wouldn't go live, you would hold the product until it is fixed. Proper QA plans could help catch these items.

I feel for you it is frustrating. I am frustrated as well. I know things break though or need to be serviced. That being said, there really isn't a logical refund to compensate you based on the subscription cost. Asking for compensation lessens you. The real point should be: Hey SSG I have a job and pay for your subscription and buy your expansions to get home get home at 6 pm EST it should be working.

I mean. Theoretically, the compensation wouldn't be a rebate, it'd be tacking a day on at the end of the billing cycle. If it was due to renew on, say, the 12th, then it would renew (or end, I guess, depending) on the 13th instead.

I'll be happy if compensation comes in the form of FIXING THE GAME.

In the meantime thanks SSG for giving me time to play my Switch, I guess.

    Default Strange Lesser Reincarnation bug

I did a lesser reincarnation as an Iconic shadar kai Rogue 2/Ranger 1. My Racial enhancement tree switched to Arcane Archer. I don't know what happened but it totally messed my build up.

That would be a full day. That's 33 cents of game time. In your case someone definitely needs the mail you 33 pennies so you can look at them. Than at some point (God willing) you can look at those pennies and think about what you asked for.
