Question Efficient way of breaking breakables as Alchemist

I have just started playing a bit again after a three year break and rolled up a gnome alchemist bombardier.

I was hoping someone here would be so kind as to drop a hint on how to break breakables efficiently on such a build. Melee is very slow and vials seem to not really break stuff, so I thought there might be another and efficient way.

Is an alchemist allowed to carry a weapon and throw bottle attacks at the same time? I'm assuming they use an offhand orb or something but can't remember from my single alchemist life.

When I think about how an ddo alchemist would have to operate to be realistic, I picture a big guy like Hodor following him around with a wheel barrow full of bottles and straw to keep them from breaking.

Bottle attacks are just spells, and like any caster you can rock whatever you want weapon wise: double buff sticks, melee/orb, throwing/orb, great sword (probably not a wise idea but still...).

At one time, many nerfs ago, it was a really fun idea!
