I'd like to have more orb types

Hello,

I'd like to have more orb types :

- one looking like a Traveller Egg
- one looking like an apple from "Sacred Bounty"
- one looking like a portable hole ( I mean the item to trade in at the "Portable Hole Collector" in the Harbour )
- one looking like a certain item from the Monty Python movie "The Holy Grail".

I'd also like to have green orbs. Perhaps filled with greenish water, or whatever.
Yellow and marine blue are colours I'd also like to see. (Red is there somewhere, and a very dark violet only at end game. I'd appreciate a light violet one, or lilac coloured)

And, as I described in another thread, turned around so that the symbol on the orb can be seen from different angles as well,
not only by from looking from a straight vertical view point down on the character.

And - please - don't limit these looks just to end game !

We also have 2 books and a fiddle, although I would love to see more styles/colors of books, maybe a mirror? A chalice type orb would be kind of neat, very cleric/fvs flavored though. Can druids use orbs? Its been awhile since I've played my druid, I've forgotten but I think there is some conflict. If they can, I would think a conch shell, a twisted piece of driftwood, a geode, and a giant magical flower would be neat options.

Many of the element/alignment based ideas have made it into the game, and their version is even more awesome than my examples. I really like that their version is transparent, it seems more magical somehow.

I can really only see the D20 being a joke item from the Anniversary, still would be fun.

Yes, so long as they're not metallic - so thunderforged, coalesced coinage & golden orb of death plus maybe a couple of others are out.

Most of the orbs are labelled as "gems", if I recall that correctly.

Yeah most of them are though there's a heroic version each of coalesced coinage & golden orb of death & they're pretty nice too with some stacking effects.

An addendum to this, the shadow imbue from feydark illusionist works on whatever item is in the off hand, not limited just to weapons & since it's material type will be force instead of metal, it'll no longer break your druidic oath... have tested this & you just have to remove & reequip the orb/shield once you've cast the imbue - naturally it has no effect on armour but it can still help expand your options.

Still mostly spherical but less mundane looking.
Hopefully, they'll branch out more into other items being used as magical foci, just because the name is orb obviously doesn't mean they absolutely have to be a sphere. Hopefully there are some more organic druid ones in the future.

I agree with not just having it in high levels. If someone truly doesn't do them I think there should be a way to get them

Maybe a store item? And keep it relatively low cost like under 100 points to get?
