Default Sustaining Song and my Warforged Friend

I decided to try the Bard SS and ended up taking Sustaining Song. However, my Warforged friend isn't getting this part of the song. The other person on our team is getting it and so am I. I am assuming this isn't working as intended?

    Anyone else run into this?

Any insights would be appreciated as I've never played a SS before. Thanks!

    Default 4th core of spellsinger

Make sure you have the 4th core of spellsinger "Music of the Makers" as it enables your sustaining song to work on constructs. This means you need to have a minimum of 12 Bard

    Default Thanks

What a relief! Thanks for that info. Guess I have a few levels left for that to work then!

Have you taken the level twelve core enhancement, Music of the Makers yet? I ask because while you can pick up Sustaining song at level 6.5, you have to be twelve for the fourth core.

For Sustaining Song to work for Warforged you need lvl 12 Bard and the 4th core of SpellSinger

Music of the Makers: Your Fascinate gains the power to mesmerize Constructs. They stop acting and behave like they have been fascinated. Unlike truly fascinated creatures, however, they are not susceptible to suggestion.
Your Sustaining Song melody now works on Construct and Living Construct Allies, such as Warforged and Artificer Iron Defenders, providing them with a Repair over time.
Requires: Bard Level 12, Music of the Dead

Hope that solves it for you!

    EDIT: beaten to the punch...

beaten by a bunch of knowledgeable people with good answers.
I was just going to say it's because your warforged buddy has a tin ear.

Even if it's "working as intended", I feel it's broken, i.e., they intended wrong.. Living Constructs like Warforged can benefit from Positive Energy healing, so should benefit from the plain old normal Sustaining Song even if you don't have the Repair-over-time version yet. (It's fine that constructs fully immune to Positive healing don't benefit.)

Even if you do have the Repair-over-time version, it still sucks. My Forged character has very little Repair Amp and quite high Heal Amp. I wish I got the real Sustaining song instead of the stupid Repair song.
