Virulent Plague Maggot

Anyone know how to stop the DOT that is Virulent Plague Market Damage?

I spell to get rid of it would be great, Ideally an immunity to it. It ticks down VERY fast (should probably be patched) and does a lot of damage. Its from on of the champs and it was nowhere in range of me. I shot a crown with a crossbow and was hit with the effect. I died within 5 sec at level 7.

Does Remove Disease get rid of it? The icon is the same as for diseases and I think the mouseover said something disease related. I didn't have any remove disease pots when I got hit with it just recently, so I wasn't able to check. But I'll keep them handy from now on.

Had it, casted remove disease and it went.
I guess potions work too.

It is magical disease so I don't know anything off the top of my head that makes you immune.

OF COURSE paladins are immune to it. Same goes to the fear dot.
