As his long time friend and comrade, I was asked to log on and let you all know that SSG gave him the boot over his thread about the "bow combat pass".

SO...... ALL 12 members of our group, have and will let the subscriptions expire with no chance of returning.

SSG. You just lost the revenue of 12 accounts, and when Gencon 21' rolls around, we'll be sure let our gaming friends know.

He won't be making another account to log in here and flame them for a childish cancel-culture move of banning him. He sent our group a memo last night and is walking away from the forums and the game.

They don't ban your in-game account over forum posts. So it sounds to me he was more interested in posting on the forums than really playing in-game (which don't require a subscription to post on). I read that thread and he deserved to get banned for violating the forums rules over and over again. What is so hard about the older generation being absolutely shocked when rules start applying to them as well?

I will never understand it.

I've had enough. The gloves came off, and I could care less about the collateral damage.

I've crossed the line on these forums and (rightfully) gotten smacked on the nose by the ban-newspaper; it takes a LOT of flagrant, repetitive, intentional rules-breaking to get a perma pan.

Seems like either he was leaving anyway, or he needs to learn to walk his talk. As for the rest of his friends - if you were only here for him, the game wasn't that important to you anyway.

its ok to take a break.
And come back when changes are on live server.
By then might he may escape being trapped in cubethulu for a few days. it ate all my armour one day too but i survived.

and welcome to the f2P club! its not that bad in fact DDO has been the pioneer with the f2p model and i still appreciate that fact. And makes buying adventure packs easy. your not gonna delete characters and be gone forever thats crazy talk! The Leaky Dinghy will still have food and drink for your party when you return

Want a dev to read your thoughts? its quite simple.
be very descriptive on the subject provide data on it with suggestions and alternatives within your realm of opinion and expertise based on what is possible within the game itself and what you know is available to adjust what your wanting changed. Devs will read such posts with a smile and be able to generate ideas and enthusiasm this way. Even if we cannot understand the code they deal with sometimes a simple suggestion or idea eludes them and sparks that creative troubleshooting. try to be that spark.

outside of that your missing your goal and well a dev wont read more then a sentence and close it if its not in that direction.
offer them suggestions to help explain why or how u think it could be, try not to explain your reaction to it as it has no bearing on getting your ideas across.

the thread also got derailed by general chat about how a darn bow works in real life..which threw the topic into a tailspin of off topic stories.

We as a group do not like the direction this game is taking. Lagin aka RoG has had enough of these forums and all the modern era band-wagon social media cancel-culture one day, fanboi the next.

NOT ONE PERSON IN OUR GROUP WILL TAKE UP THE CAUSE FOR NEW PLAYERS OR OFFER ANY SUGGESTIONS HERE EVER AGAIN. SSG BURNED THAT BRIDGE.

Shame, after all he's done for the community, and the thread that caused the ban is by far and away NOT even close to the flaming others have done. So screww you SSG and the unicorn you rode in on.

The ENTIRE group is enjoying AC Valhalla, Boulder's Gate III & Solasta.

What SSG AND MANY PEOPLE here don't get, OUR MONEY IS GOING ELSEWHERE.

So take that new lag performance & "bow combat pass" (what a joke) updates and be happy in knowing you drove paying customers away by banning a forum poster. Nice move wingnuts.

Been a while since I've seen geniune drama posts.

But meh, adapt and survive is part of the fun. Mechanics change, a good player adapts. May not be 100% to their liking but the fact is its an MMO, it will constantly change, rebalance and otherwise floof with the mechanics all the time.

It's all part of MMO life, like being unable to save your game....

Slarden, what rock are you under? How many coding and balance debacles have we seen in 15 years? The 2 passes under development are clear signs the foundation of DDO is failing. If YOU want to focus one ONE LINE item vs. the plethora of complaints he's posted about ( I know, I hear it all the time) then have a nice day.
