Initial Hardcore Feedback

One day in and here's my feedback so far:

1. Mimics! I love them. I've been asking for them since season 2. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
- The mimic vendor is absent. Not sure if this is by design or not. I'm okay either way.
2. Lag! 1st day, lots of players, LOTS of lag. Especially when a new group of mobs is approached.
3. The guy who gives past season HC rewards wasn't around, (just like last season).
4. FvS spell buffs seem pretty big (at low level).
5. Other players are great! Special shout out to Mary and all the high roller donors.
6. DDO is fun!
7. Since you embraced my mimic idea, does that mean next season you will embrace my reaper only difficulty?

So, big take aways are mimics are provacativly fun, lag ducks, and DDO and it's players are great. Also, we want our old horses.

I'm OK with all the above but the lag is unfair. The rules of the game should be fair.

Right after HC4 went live, I logged into HC........made my toon.....can to bank in the harbor and logged off......


Will log into HC again in 90 days and see if I have any of the issues you have experienced.

Captain this was a great idea - I am glad you thought of it and glad they implemented it. It means once we transfer over our characters to live and the event is back on we will have boatloads of tokens (and hopefully no soulstones).

The only old rewards you get on hc are season 1 as it automatically goes into your character.

Out of curiousity, which fvs buffs are you talking about. Do you mean the caster level bonuses?

Also a big shout out to Mary - although still not in guild but I have my sigil waiting for my chance.

While the lag is annoying, it's the stuttering kind and it was much worse the first few hours hc was opened. Hopefully they found something and are addressing it during the downtime .

I don't think they should make hardcore reaper only (although I consider reaper on hardcore the only true challenge setting in the game). Right now they have different options for the player base:

High challenge: Reaper rewards
Medium challenge: 5k Favor reward
Low challenge: 1750k favor and level 20

I like having more options for the player base so more people participate.

For me unlike Live lag is a real problem.

The Harbor and Marketplace are both lag zones. The quests in the Harbor so far have tended to be laggy despite the fact that I am soloing on Normal - which is why I'm going to stay on Normal until my build hits reasonable effectiveness along about level 7.
