This was dirty pool IMHO. You shouldn't post this rule, and then break it on day one. There are players out there who spend real money to succeed, regardless if you think doing so is right or wrong, the DEV team clearly stated that NO FESTIVALS, and yet, they put one in without notice.

Shame on the Dev team, this was wrong.

Now someone who knows how to post images here, needs to post the nun from GOT with her bell, saying SHAME!

Festivals have prizes. This doesn't. Just pain.

No that's exactly the purpose of hardcore. Sell tomes and stuff. You got it all wrong.

There are two kind of players on HC
- Those, like me, who like the challenge and try to get the milestones by using build/skill/knowledge.
- Those who want to get the rewards, most likely to show off, and spend money on making HC less challenging.

One of these kind of players are those that keep HC turned on.


I do like the mimics, it is an extra layer of challenge.
But I also think it might be a bit too much for people who can not deal with this added difficulty...

What no one has noticed is that there's a new vendor in the hall of heroes where Mimics can turn in "party member tokens" to claim their own rewards.

The Delkyr play by their own rules...
The moment you figure out what those rules are they get changed a moment before that moment...

The above should read one of two ways:

1) Just creating more confusion: Mimic Festival is intended to be active on Hardcore currently. (Untrue)

2) Just clearing up any confusion: Mimics are intended to be active on Hardcore currently. (True)

Even though you do get mimic tokens, there is no vendor, thus no "Festival."

Personally, I am disappointed in the Favor/Reaper rewards. I was hoping for the return of the Feat rewards like Bloody Footprints.

Have fun trying to work with others to stay alive and stop moaning like a banshee that a "Festival" is on HC, it isn't!

Hunting Mimic Tokens on non-HC servers was, no... is a PITA, so take advantage and farm your tokens now and move them to your home server in 3 months and profit.

I would offer some of you a cookie, but you would likely find something to complain about

A few things:

1. ML3 doesn't apply. Any chest can be a mimic.

2. Open (safe) chests aren't safe!

Scenario:
Ran Korthos as a Level 2 with a Level 4 joining my party. I open and loot chest, walk away. Party member (Level 4) clicks on chest and it became a mimic, killing him.

I'm missing lots of obits! People have said ooh and aah and I say wut cause it just didn't show on my screen, nor in the chat channel logs. Sometimes not even party members obits show. I'm trying to test this by killing more people.
