Question Getting new pc...how to move DDO over

I'm getting a new PC. I currently have DDO installed on my d: drive an SSD drive.

I plan to move this drive over to my new pc.

Do I have to reinstall DDO or can I run it from my moved SSD?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Default

Don't need to reinstall, but you might need to run stuff like visual basic runtimes & .net framework installers 1st.

There is usually an error message (MSCV101.DLL missing or something similar, which can help point to what you need to put on to make it work).

Sometimes you can semi-cheat it and 1st time run a similarly aged game via steam or uplay, which will put on the runtimes for you.

Don't reinstall via steam. It will load up an outdated version, which you'll then need to repatch once you run it.

    Default Didn't work.

I moved it over, and it ran until I get onto a server and then I just get a black screen.

I ended up just doing a reinstall on my C drive because it turns out it is a faster SSD drive :-)
