Returning Player: Necro Cleric Build

Hi everyone, I'm a returning player, and havent played since 2013 or so. A lot have changed since, and to get me back into it, I just want to play the game, and not concentrate too much on optimizing a build. So I decided to follow a guide online, and would like to know if this build I found is still viable (i.e. were there any updates to the game that rendered this build useless?). I'm okay with it not being the best build there is, I just want to make sure it's decent enough.

My toon is on its 3rd life as a Cleric, it is currently sitting a level 1 as a Human Cleric.

For death domain cleric I would start with this build:

Death Domain given new life wit U48.4, just avoid robots (ddo.com)

There are a few things about it I would change - for example at 30 this build needs to be using pendant of bottled moonlight and 4 piece winter set with legendary crown of snow + 2 piece summer set.l

His build ignores spell pen and the inflicts are subject to spell pen so you need some other sources of dps - alignment, light and fire. I tend to view the inflicts as side dishes and not the main course, but they are situationally very strong.

You need to figure out if you want to go dps first, dc first or healing first and that will largely depend on your grouping patterns and difficulty. Based on that tweak the build slightly.
