Xorn
Formians
Thri-Kreen (Lets bring on the Insect Wars with these two races)!

Xixecal (Ok, I freely admit I have NO idea how you'd even implement this. Nobody said that the suggestions had to be sensible though)!

Eye of the deep or aboleth for underwater quests. Kua-toa or hook horrors for underdark. Wilderness areas Hydras, Stirges. A pack of gorgons would also be fun (not medusas)

I will neither confirm or deny the degree of chuckle I got from this.

But... people have issues slaughtering Halflings. Imagine the angst over slaughtering raging bands of ankle-biters! Perma-hasted from sugar intake, and cuteness-based fort bypass...
