Why don't the Coin Lords have coin sorting technology?

Well, that is actually a misapprehension, coins do self-sort through the mechanisms of business, taxes and fees. Copper self sorts to the pockets of dock workers and gold self sorts to the troves of the Coin Lords; none of this is accidental.

The origin of the warforge has been nothing but propaganda. They were made as coin sorting machines for house Kundarak, for house Canniths espionage program; Project break the bank. The warforge would eat a vast amount of coins, then return to Cannith bringing in the bounty. Rather than purging the coins the warforged metabolized them and the coins became copper, silver, gold, platinum or mithril plating.

Before house Kundarak could discover the plot, house Cannith reworked the project and decided to make a war machine rather than a slot machine.

Coin Lords do not need coin sorting technology. Checking my inventory, all coins appear pre-sorted by some form of older, more mysterious and powerful magic. Besides, there really is only one coin... the Platinum!

Counting coin is for the poor folk that don't have all the coins. Eventually when you get to a point you can just stop counting. For example on my character it is ~4294967296 coins
