I don't know what the numbers are about, I'm pretty sure SSG always enjoys making this event (at least it seems like it to me), and maybe they're very excited about how they changed it this year. Either way, I'm looking forward to take part in the party, and am curious to see if the numbers are anything more than just a count down.

That image is obvious! SSG is secretly working on DDO 2, all textures are being currently redesigned for 8k+ resolutions, all 3d models are rewritten to hi-poly (for quest maps AI is involved to make whole process smooth and effective), all mocap also gets hi-res. Moreover the new ddo 2 will support Raytracing and it's based on DX12 engine and it's effects, you'd love it! Especially scalable UI that fits well 4k+ resolutions and the spell effects are amazing!

Serverside engine is now 120fps, the infrastructure uses totally new software approach - there will be one megaserver but the public instances will be dynamically split into different physical machines (so eg Marketplace-1 will be running on machine A, Marketplace-2 on machine B etc - that will make switching public instances just a bit longer). There will be a dedicated machine just for raid instances to get the lags to minimum (which are already decreased to minimum!). With the new launcher it takes less than 20 seconds from starting the launcher to play the game even on 10 year PC.

For the love of shinies, Kobold race please. Definitely know it's not going to be the gift in this year's Anniversary event BUT, c'mon SSG, we've waited for the Kobold race long enough. Not sarcasm or a joke. When that whole vote was going on between Dragonborn and Kobold a few years ago, I had a hard time choosing either or. Just saying it'd be great to run around as a Kobold [insert class here].

Here's hoping for a tiny scaled friends in the [near] future!
