i was just thinking, devs talking about too many active effects around. i don't know if the bonus that mobs get when DA is on is part of it, assuming it is, and i'm talking about alert because is a general aspect, always present, so i guess potentially impacting. i know nothing about tech.

now if info is still accurate at green alert a mob get

+2 to saves
+4 to ability scores

then they grow stronger and stronger every step till red alert, max buffs:

Saving throw: Up to +16
Ability score (STR, DEX, CON): Up to +24
AC and Attack bonus: Up to +16
Fortification: Up to +100%
Skills: Up to +24
Movement speed: Up to +20%
True Sight
Some Immunity to certain triggered effects (?whatever this means?)

would maybe be possible to eliminate that bonus to skills? is it really needed? maybe that bonus to stat, instead of making the stats go up, leave them be and adjust bonus to save accordingly? just thinking about having alert touching less things as possible here, not asking for changes in favor of players.

another idea...we have green, yellow, orange, red. what about no more green level? the rest doesn't change, the first alert step is yellow and it kicks in exaclty when it does now. i say take away green, and not yellow, because the buffs mob get is minor, the balance and function of alert is preserved (even if i hate DA, but it doesn't matter here, talking about effects and when and how many they proc), and because often green alert just pop up in a regular encounter just because a room is packed of mobs, no reason to alert, no running ahead.

unrelated to alert, but related to aggro: movement speed bug?

if not mounted, when you aggro even just 1 far away mob, no alert, your movement drops by 2% according to char sheet. what's happening? (also the displayed speed is 1% lower than expected, i see 129%, it should be base 100+ quiver striding 30, 130?, a char with blinding speed feat is showing 131, should be 132, real bug or display bug?)

is this 2% drop in move speed if you have aggro for real? display bug? if it is real, do we really need it? no we don't! an effect active on any player that has aggro. quite a gargantuan audience. the "concept" of it is already covered by alert, mob speed buff.
