Questions about being undead.

Hi guys. I have a couple newb questions about being in undead form:

1) Since we are immune to crits and sneak attacks, can I assume that fortification isn't needed for anything?

2) Are we effected by stuns from sound sources like shout? It soundproof pointless?

1) Being undead gives you 100% fort but some enemies can bypass it so you will still want to go above 100%

2) Yes you're immune

At level 8, +100% fortification is easy enough (a few points in the store, if nothing else), so I usually go for 200% or more. It's pretty tough for players to reduce fortification by 100%, so this seems fairly safe. Champs and Reaper probably scale debuffs (just a guess), so playing on Reaper might need a bit more.

You'll still get crit by certain champs (is it beastmark which bypasses fort?).

Undead + lv29 sharn gear (~320% fort) is pretty sturdy.

If you're soloing on E/R1/EE go for 200%+ fortification. If you're grouping and not melee you can definitely get away with less.

I'll get 1-shot occasionally through low 200's fort with 1k+ health and 100 PRR in EE. Most often that is a mob double-striking somehow with a lot of fort bypass. If you want to reliably see this effect in action stand still in front of Gardak Bruntsmash in Return to Cabal for One.

There is no amount of fortification that will make you immune. Some champion mobs simply will bypass whatever you have no matter how high it is. In general, for basic protection from most trash, CR+100 is considered to be "relatively immune".
