Any thoughts on a Cleric Rogue Multiclass that uses the assassin tree and maybe the VKF tree?

I've done something like this before. But I wouldn't do cleric/rogue. I'd do FVS/rogue. Why?
Because you're going to use VKF, and VKF gives you crit range and multiplier. Therefore you don't need War Domain. Since you don't need war domain (whose real purpose is to have a respectable heal aura while having holy sword), FVS will do your work better.

12 levels of FVS. 6 levels of rogue. 2 levels of whatever you want. 12 levels of FVS will give you wis or cha to hit, your choice, with a trance in the same ability. That'll give you respectable single target dps. If you've got feydark, 3 points in that will eliminate your issues with oozes/rust monsters (shadow blade to imbue your daggers).

I would just go rogue 18 / fvs 1/ fighter 1 with more emphasis on dps than assassinate. The critical profile from Tier 5 assassin and the level 18 core are too good to give up.

This is what I use on a 20 assassin, you might be able to move a few points from assassin to vkf since you don't need the capstone.

Assassin: 41
Harper: 12
Thief Acrobat: 3
Vistani Knife Fighter: 25

You will want to slot some threat reduction filigree for sure with this split.
