Please allow us to change the order of characters in the party ui

For instance if I am in a group and the players are listed at Me, A,B,C,D,E

And I am the healer and the tank is player D I would like to reorder them to say Me,D,A,B,C,D so that when I use my F1,2,3 keys to select party members it is sorted in the way I want rather than however it currently does this.

This comes up in other scenarios where I am the tank and I want my healer in a certain location in the party bar in case I need to toss them an emergency heal etc.

I imagine this has been suggested before (maybe even by me) but I was wondering if anyone on the dev team can take a look at this logic and see if it is possible now if it wasn't possible before.

It would be nice if you could change the order. During our guild raids, we invite people to the raid group based on our desired group UI order. It's inefficient since logging out or dropping group can screw it up.

This would be a nice feature to include when you work on UI scaling Devs.

The UI being unplayably small in 4K resolution is a HUGE problem going forward. We are close to the point where 4K will be the new TV/monitor standard and we would have to buy "retro hardware" to play the game.

Being able to reorder the party won't happen until the UI scaling is done. SSG batches similar work together.

UI scaling isn't happening anytime soon. As Sev explained in the end of year livestream, they have to remake every single icon in the game to scale for 4k. There are thousands of them to remake. It's essentially a whole lot of money and time for something that doesn't generate revenue. The only way it's gonna happen if it's part of some larger effort like porting DDO to play on a console, as a response to the D&D movie in 2022.

Me, I'd be happy if the current party leader always were listed #1. That alone would be a huge start.

Beyond that, ordered by dominant class, or even just by level, would not be a terrible improvement. It would at least be "something". :/


I'd also love it if any/all hires needed Leader approval to "join the group" before summoned, AND a leader could /kick any hire at any time.

The raid leader should be able to assign groups and special roles.

Players should be able to physically arrange them in any way.

Healbot from WoW is the best example I can think of offhand to customize how other players health+status bars appear on your screen.


Leaders being able to handle hires sounds great as well.
