Default EK build, new player friendly! (not many past lives) Help

About to Epic TR then TR my wizard, I want to get some more wizard lives in and totally want to try the EK maybe like a "Death Knight" going Pale Master ETC.

That being said, I really have no idea how to effectively build it, maybe someone knows of a build I can try?? or help me create one.

    It would be greatly appreciated!

Some of it depends on what you have access to, and if you want to try a little DC casting - The fall back plan is to go max STR, and you are basically a self buffing/healing melee (which is still pretty strong).

Here are some links to read through:

Like most things, this type of build leverages past lives and gear to really shine - Running e or r1 to cap it really isn't needed but you will benefit from having a bit of gear.

Want to 2HF & be self buffing melee? go pure (& essentially follow Pilgrim's Blackguard) or go 18 wizard /1 cleric /1 barbarian (& follow Gilga/Tronko)

Want to try DC casting and have the harper tree? Do either of the above but max INT and take 12 points in harper for INT to hit/damage/stance, take at least quicken + heighten + spell focus (your choice, I like enchantment, this is basically for epic destiny twisting magister's t2 school specialization) as your wizard bonus metas, take at least the relevant melee feats (2HF chain, imp. critical, PA-Precision). In epics you may like ShadowDancer with sense weakness, [spell school] specialization, dance with flowers as a basic set up, Fury also works quite nicely when 2HF.

The downside to DC is that you need to find 12+ AP for the harper tree (so nerfing self healing etc) and needing to fit caster gear).

If you go WF, take adamantine body after you get deep enough into EK to have 0% arcane spell failure.

    Have fun
