Need Help with DC/Healing caster Cleric Build for High Reapers

This is my last life to get my first Heroic Completionist. I want a good cleric build that will be able to do high reapers.


I would prefer a Death Domain Cleric that has alright healing capabilities.



I have 55 Reaper Points and +8 Supreme Tome.

Got access to all races and iconics.

The build I'm currently leveling:

Sun elf (Aasimar is probably better)

Stats: 8,8,14,14,18+,14

Skills: Heal, Spellcraft, Jump, UMD, Spot

Enhancements: 41 Divine Disciple, 24 Feydark, 15 Radiant Servant (will be 35 RS/41 Fey at 30)

Death domain
Feats: Quicken, Wizard PL, Heighten, Necro focus, Greater Necro, Evocation focus, Empower heal
Epic feats: Arcane insight, Epic Necro, Embolden, Epic toughness
Destiny feats: Toughness, Mass frog, Deific Warding

The biggest issue with playing cleric is player expectations of what a cleric should be are so different.

The basic rule of thumb is that you want to heal and do one other thing. That one other thing is generally going to be tanking, debuffing or dc casting since cleric dps has a low ceiling. Debuffing requires alot of shroud items which rules that out for most people.

I haven't played a cleric tank in high reapers but I am guessing they are going to fall short compared to a paladin or multi-class build for max ac unless you have a bunch of epic past lifes for AC. I have a favored soul tank I use for raiding that has very few past lifes, but does have the 9 martial past lifes and even with double-slotting all the AC filigree my AC maxes out at about 380 and my PRR/MRR/hit points are lower compared to a pure 20 paladin, but the ability to tank and/or heal is great.

So from a DC perspective it's fairly straight forward. Go wisdom based and max out your DC - either necro or evocation for implosion. On a cleric necro makes the most sense since death domain is an option for the extra destruction giving you destruction x2, slay living + implosion + mass frog which has a longer timer. Slot undeath to death for undead.

Tier 5 divine disciple flat-out sucks so I would go with radiant servant 41 and divine disciple 28 (the level 18 core isn't critical) and then 11 in feydark illusionist. I would swap between using a tower shield and stygian wrath. Swap to stygian wrath when you want to shoot your necrotic ray x 2 and possibly negative energy burst for extra dps stay with the shield whenever you want the extra defenses. But main job is healing and picking off a few dangerous enemies and cc a needed (soundburst + greater color spray + cometfall gives you cc against all 3 saves). You can also debuff with energy drain, necrotic ray x2 and enervation.

Silverthread belt is huge as it helps both healing and negative spells. DPS is not a main feature of the build, but you can contribute some. Since wisdom artifacts don't synergize well for DC casting I would go with 4-piece winter set/2-piece summer set with prince's gauntlets and the flamecleansed fury set for DC boosts.
