Smile my experience with ddo, so far.

Hey everyone, my name is Nondesu. I started playing ddo in April of 2020, right around the time they shut down the college and life got really quarantine-y. I can't quite remember how I discovered ddo, whether it was browsing the free Steam library or a glance at an advertisement, who knows. Either way, I started a toon based off of Strimtom's Acid Arrow without any earthly idea of what I was doing.. and got dumped into Korthos with Jeets as my tutorial guide. After awhile of very slow learning and a bit of discouragement mixed with intrigue, I met my first guild leader. He recruited me as a totally imbalanced level 3 ranger, and within a month or two I had abandoned that build and built a Pale Master instead. This is when I finally understood how enhancement/quality/insightful stats stack, that named gear has a set bonus if you have enough pieces equipped, reaper points matter, etc. Then the game became insanely more fun. I met a few people that I ended up running with daily, one in particular took me under his wing and became my ddo sensei. I learned so much from him, and owe a bunch of my rxp to him dragging me through r6 dungeons i had no business being in. :P Now, I'm messing around with a halfling shuricannon, and a tiefling scoundrel pure support bard. There are many things that I've learned and many friends that I've made, but what I love most about ddo is the feeling that there is so much more. More unknown, more potential for toon growth.. It's a fantastic game with some pretty fantastic players and I'm super lucky to be a part of this community. I can deal with a little lag every now and then if it means I get to keep diving into that world. :]

    Love you guys/gals.

Hehe. I can image this game can be overwhelming to a new player. Even in aught-six when we played from the back of our dinosaurs there was a lot to the game. Now... it's mind bending.
