OK I was alting through servers doing my Gold rolls and either on the 3rd or 4th server I suddenly stopped getting Gold rolls {just silver}.

Then I got to Wayfinder and noticed that my main character on that server is suddenly unplayable due to "not owning Wood Elf"

DDOStore says my subscription was cancelled at 21:02 GMT tonight {47 minutes ago} but doesn't say why.

Resubscribing but shouldn't I get an E-Mail or something telling me to re-up my subscription when it's close to running out?

I get an email every time I re-up. I don't think it ever missed a beat; typically after three minutes my phone will chime.
edit: Ark, I didn't mean this to come across wrong. Hope you didn't take it that way; I only know my own experience with the subscription and I remove my billing info after as a matter of course. It may be that automatic resub doesn't cause an email confirmation. (And it should.)

Unless you specifically turn it off, your sub will automatically renew and your credit card on file gets charged. Hence, Cordo suggesting you check your credit card. There's no feasible circumstance under which you should need a reminder email.

I've been VIP for years with no issues, and then suddenly it expired (this was a year or two ago). It turns out that the ddo's payment system now requires you to set up a new subscription every time you change your credit card. I didn't get any email about this either.
