Pestivus is back! What the heck is Pestivus? Glad you asked! It’s a fun and free event hosted by Pestilence guild members on the Thelanis server. All are welcome to join in the festivities (or should we say, Pestivities?), play the games, and win awesome prizes!

Here’s a summary of the games:


Game 1: Individual PvP
January 2, 2020 6:15 PM PST

Player vs. Player combat tournament for lowbie characters. Battle for life, death, and fabulous prizes! Test your skills against other lowbie players head to head!

• Character name must start with PESTI
• First life characters only
• Maximum character level 4
• Individuals face off and the winner of the death match advances to the next round tournament elimination style until the top 3 winners are determined.
• Anything your character can use is permitted for use.
• The top three winners will get their choice of available prizes remaining.

Game 2: Highbie Team PVP
January 3, 2020 8:00 PM PST

Player vs. Player team combat for level 28 to 30 characters. Team up a friend or get assigned a teammate when you arrive at the event.

• Teams of 2 people
• Tournament style elimination
• Teams face off in a 10 minute death match with the arena selected by the Pestilence member running the event.
• Highest scoring team in the battle advances to the next round.
• The top team of 2 wins 1 Otto’s Box for each player!

Game 3: Blind Man’s Bluff
January 4, 2020 9:00 PM PST

Get to a designated location while blind! Find your way alone or with a guide!
Reach the Pestilence member's location while blind and choose a prize.

• Fifteen (15) winners, first come first serve.
• You may bring a guide to help find your way.
• If you need blindness, send a tell to a Pestilence member in the PVP arena and get your buff (or ask a friend). Once blind, you'll have 1 minute or less to get out of the tavern before regeneration heals you.
• The starting location will be provided inthe /Pestivus channel and in the Discord. The event ends after 15 winners, or at 11:00 PM PST.

Game 4: Scavenger Hunt
January 5, 2020 9:00 PM PST

• Be one of the first 10 players to collect all the required items. Once you find them, announce it in the /Pestivus channel and come to the Pestivus member's location in the Marketplace, open a trade window and trade all the items below to the Pestilence member to receive your prize.
• Items to collect: 9 items will be named on the day of the event.
• The first 10 players to collect all items and trade them to the Pestilence member running this event get their choice of available prizes remaining.

Game 5: Foot Race
January 6, 2020 9:00 PM PST

Race your competitors across the map. Prove how uber fast your character is and win prizes.

• Start at the designated spot (find out in the game /Pestilence channel or Discord channel) race to the Pestilence member at the finish line.
• First competitor to open a trade window with the designated Pestilence member at the finish wins.
• Races will be run to determine the top 8 winners who each get a prize of their choice.

Game 6: Solo Speed Run
January 7, 2020 by 9:00 PM PST.

Prove your solo abilities by completing the designated quest by yourself.

• The name of the quest will be provided on the day of the event in the /Pestivus channel and in Discord.
• Highest difficulty mode in the shortest time wins. Upload a screenshot of your solo completion to this forum post or to the Pestivus Discord channel before the deadline.
• Hirelings permitted, other players in party are not.
• Deadline to submit screenshot: 11:00 PM PST on January 7, 2020
• The top 3 winners will get their choice of 1 of the remaining prizes.

Game 7 : Team Speed Run
January 8, 2020 by 9:00 PM PST.

Prove the strength of you and your mates by completing the designated quest on the highest difficulty you can in the lowest possible time.

• The name of the quest will be provided on the day of the event in the /Pestivus channel and in Discord.
• Highest difficulty mode in the shortest time wins. Upload a screenshot of your completion to this forum post or to the Pestivus Discord channel before the deadline.
• Deadline to submit screenshot: January 8, 2020 by 11:00 PM PST.
• All members of the winning team each get their choice of remaining prizes.

Day 1 of Pestivus was fun for all! Many brave souls took to the PVP arena of Hammersmith's Inn and several emerged victorious with treasures as their rewards.

Day 2 is tomorrow! Level 28 to 30 team PVP! Two people per team and no other rules. Great prizes and fun to be had for everyone. See you tomorrow at 9:00 PM PST!

Last night's foot races were fiercely competitive! Guys from Internus Sus have been dominating Pestivus events all week, but last night Thinking from Green Mists gave them a real run for the month.

Tonight at 9pm PST is solo quest speed run competition. Tomorrow is team quest speed run competition.

Dang it! Wish I'd seen this earlier, the PvP looks like a lot of fun. Sadly, my phone is too old to install discord and I'm terrible at completing stuff on reaper difficulty to join in the last bit.
